Beide uitvoeringen eens beluisterd (de studio-versies zijn hier de voorbije weken voldoende gepasseerd). Twee geweldige songs, kan ik alleen maar concluderen: prachtfinale!

Waar Triptykon voor mij al een bekende naam was, en ik het werk van Tom G. Warrior met zowel dit project als Celtic Frost ontzettend kan waarderen, schenk ik mijn punt toch aan Saor. Hier was ik dan weer niet mee bekend, en dat speelt de onstuimige doch frivole Schotten in de kaart. Een song die me meteen wist te begeesteren en stelselmatig is uitgegroeid tot een bijzondere hoogvlieger, waarvan ik erg blij ben dat ie het tot de finale heeft gebracht. Laat deze song maar gelijk het boeltje winnen, zeg ik dan!

Twee gave nummers, waarbij het nummer van Saor neigt naar fenomenaal. Ik zeg bewust 'neigt', want ondanks dat het een geweldig nummer is, is het niet meer dan dat. Geen echte a-categorie, laat ik maar zeggen. Daarom ben ik het ook eens met JM: teleurstellende finale.

Laat Saor de hele bups maar winnen. Best verrassend te noemen. Vind het wel een hele gave track, schurkt tegen een 9 aan. Maar idd niet legendarisch wereldschokkend.

Voor het eerst in al die jaren dat ik meedoe een winnende nominatie van mijn kant, maar die moest wel door EvilDrSmith getipt worden! De band althans, de song zelf gewoon even bij het album gekeken wat de meeste voorkeurstemmen kreeg.
