Ah, fijn dat je Primordial en Taake nomineert: stonden ook op mijn lijst. Kan ik weer andere bands nomineren.

Bongzilla viel nipt af

Bij mij heeft het zelfs de nominatielijst niet gehaald en was Kutschurft de laatste afvaller. Helaas, maar volgens mij zijn ze nog wel in de race bij De Grote 00's K.O.

En okay, ik weet dat powermetal geen favoriet genre in dit clubje is, maar dan wel Hammerfall nomineren en geen Blind Guardian, Avantasia, of Rhapsody? Huh?
Nouja, ik kreeg ze er ook niet in, te veel andere goeie shit.
Wel gaaf dat Knut, Norma Jean en Krux al zijn genomineerd.
Toch gooi ik er een doublure in, want Omfalos van Krux is een doomclassic van heb ik jou daar.
Tevens een band die jullie misschien eerder als een rockband zien dan als een metalband, maar daar heb ik dan mooi even maling aan. Zó'n fokking fantastisch nummer, met bijna dezelfde geniale drumfill op het eind als de uiteindelijke winnaar van dit spelletje.

En dan meteen een van mijn nominaties.... die het prompt moet afleggen tegen een van de krakers van een van de krakers in de geschiedenis van de (prog)metal.
Het album staat tenslotte niet voor niets in mijn Top 10.
Jammer van het Colombiaanse blackmetalduo, want ook niet te versmaden.

Geen partij echter voor het virtuoos-frivole Pain of Salvation, klinkt érg goed!

Vind het daarom ook een onwijs moeilijke keus.

Maar ik ga toch voor het ‘warme’ geluid.
