Ja, dat was ik. Was in de war met een andere Round and Round, waarbij ik ruim een dag heb zitten dubben wat de artiestennaam ook alweer was (en gemakshalve maar aannam dat dit weer zo'n faker was). Maar nee dus.

Vanochtend op de fiets had ik evenwel mijn heldere moment. Het ging om deze (ik embed even, omdat je er het plaatje van nog zo'n nostalgische verzamelaar bij krijgt):

Diverse lijsten die hier passeren, grote onenigheid lijkt me.

Een van de nummers waarvan ik minder vermeldingen had verwacht is
The O.T. Quartet - Hold That Sucker Down
Geschreven door Rollo Armstrong (medelid van Faithless) en natuurlijk ook Rob Dougan, doet toch sterk denken aan de vroegere hardere dancetracks (Insomnia, Salva mea,...) van Faithless. Maar blijkbaar heeft het nummer niet de klassieker-status die de nummers van Faithless wel hebben.

Hoewel ik best wat Hardcore techno ken van vroeger, zeggen die Party Animals me niet zoveel, zal iets nostalgisch "Hollands" zijn.

Party Animals: Flamman en Abraxas. Die hebben ook dat I Wanna Be A Hippy van Technohead groot gemaakt.
Erg alomtegenwoordig toendertijd!

Extra zal ook wel afvallen, maar die vind ik toch niet representatief voor deze verzamelaars (net zo min als Guus).
DJ Bobo is het ook niet gelukt trouwens

En vreemd dat dat remix album van Bobby Brown niet op de site staat, was toch redelijk succesvol (of ik kijk echt niet goed)

Used and Abused en Good to Go! Die laatste werd ook nog gebruikt in de cultfilm Naar de Klote!

Tribal Dance van 2 Unlimited zou ongetwijfeld in mijn TOP 3 gestaan hebben, maar er blijven genoeg straffe klassiekers over om een onweerstaanbare TOP 20 af te leveren! Meer zelfs, het is nog steeds moeilijk om knopen door te hakken bij de laatste plaatsen. Dit zijn mijn tienerjaren en ik blijf die muziek vandaag de dag nog steeds even goed vinden.
