Als Jackie nou gewoon nog wat langer doorzinderde dan die schamele 150 seconden, dan was het mijn nummer 1 geweest.
Nooit geweten dat ik bij Massive Attack naar Sinéad luisterde, maar nu ik het weet, snap ik niet dat ik het nooit hoorde.
Queen of Denmark vind ik een verrassende (heavy) cover, veel gaver - die erupties zijn meer (hard)rock dan bombasme - dan John Grants origineel die ik weer even moest terugluisteren hoe die ook alweer ging.
Het bijtende, vileine in haar stem op haar debuutalbum hoor ik helaas toch veel minder terug in de rest van haar carrière.
Evenzogoed beviel mij deze dwarsdoorsnede van haar oeuvre veel beter dan ik op voorhand had verwacht. Ik had haar werk toch een beetje voor (John) granted genomen. Onterecht.

We blijven nog even weg bij de eerste twee albums van Sinead. Eerst nog een samenwerking met John Grant. Ze is slecht te horen al is het desondanks een prachtig liedje.
