Welkom bij het derde deel in deze serie KO’s waarin de songs van Elvis Presley centraal staan. Na de early years en de comeback years zijn we nu bij de adult contemporary years beland.

Ik ga het nu alvast vooraf even zeggen: deze KO gaat mij pijn doen. De 70s zijn veruit mijn favoriete Elvis periode en ik heb de battles bekeken: ik ga hoe dan ook al persoonlijke favorieten verliezen in ronde 1.

Het was trouwens behoorlijk lastig om deze lijst samen te stellen omdat ik telkens niet op een juist aantal songs uitkwam voor een KO. Daarom gaan we opnieuw naar een finale met 3 songs toewerken en bestaat de eerste ronde-lijst uit songs die ofwel in de 70’s voor het eerst zijn opgenomen (de overgrote meerderheid) ofwel in de 70’s voor het eerst op een album verschenen / voor het 70s-tijdperk gemaakt werden (minuscuul deel).

Dat gezegd hebbende: tijd aan ons om te gaan bepalen welke 96 songs doorgaan naar ronde 2. Om daar te kunnen komen heeft een track 5 stemmen nodig. Alle standaard KO-regels gelden, en ook zal ik weer een Spotify-lijstje gaan bijhouden in volgorde van de afvallers. Mocht je voor het eerst aansluiten en/of niet helemaal weten hoe een dergelijk spelletje werkt, stuur me dan gerust een berichtje.
