Drie nummers met een streepje erachter zijn dus ergens tussen 101 en 120 geëindigd, ik neem aan dat we die ook nog in een totaaloverzicht te zien krijgen.

Geen Fontaines D.C. in mijn top 25, ik wijk daarmee af van de MuMeter-mainstream, ik vind het overigens zeker niet slecht, maar de hype is imho een beetje overdone. Ook geen The Cure, al ben ik dat laatste album steeds meer gaan waarderen.

De keuze gaat eind van dit jaar overigens een stuk gemakkelijker worden voor mij, want er komen minder nummers van mijn smaak in de finale door de nieuwe deelnemers.

Goed gedaan, esteban!

Beste vrienden van de muziek,

Jullie hebben samen beslist dat Starburster van Fontaines D.C. dé alternatieve hit van het jaar is. Het punten-record staat nog steeds op naam van Placebo met Beautiful James. (2021) Is er volgend jaar een kandidaat die daar over raakt? Dat komen jullie te weten in april 2026. (huh-huh)

En waar is die 10de 🃏 JOKER nu eigenlijk gebleven? Dat komen jullie te weten in dit finale overzicht.

Bij deze wil ik iedereen bedanken die in 2024 wekelijks of sporadisch mee bepaald heeft welke nummers door gingen naar de finale keuzelijst. Klasse-overzicht, estebanneke, en fijn dat je er zoveel tijd voor hebt kunnen vrijmaken. Erg leuk om terug te lezen en terug te luisteren.
Zelf heb ik mijn top 25 bepaald aan de hand van de noteringen in mijn persoonlijke jaaroverzicht. En ik moest diep graven; voor 25 tracks moest ik een persoonlijke top 500 doorspitten. Ofwel: slechts één op de twintig van mijn favoriete tracks van het afgelopen jaar kwam in aanmerking voor de DAH-finale. Mijn DAH-top 25 is dus niet representatief voor mijn muzieksmaak.
Maar toch: puntjes geven voor DAH doe ik wekelijks met plezier. Vooral omdat ik zo bij kan houden wat de samenstellers van de alternatieve hitlijsten voor ons van belang vinden. En verder natuurlijk om me te verbazen over hoeveel smaken kunnen verschillen.
