Ladder 47 was, kijkend naar de rankings van vorig jaar, zeker geen gemakkelijke ladder met maar liefst 9 nummers die vorig jaar top 250 scoorden. En de top 7 in de uitslag bestaat dan ook niet geheel verrassend uit de 7 nummers die vorig jaar ook top 200 scoorden.
Michael Jackson weet zich vervolgens via de afvallerslijst te handhaven en Depeche Mode stijgt (in een ladder met een dubbele notering) zelfs heel knap door naar de bovenste 400.
Spinvis is in deze ladder het kind van de rekening en valt weg bij de bovenste 400.

Als we dan kijken naar wat er verdwijnt uit de bovenste 400 dit jaar, dan is dat alleen Wolf Alice.

Op basis van de gewogen stempercentages van de eerste 3 rondes dit jaar zouden deze 32 nummers de finale van de MuMeLadder 2025 vormen. Maar goed, we weten allemaal dat het soms heel anders gaat lopen en het meestal ook gedeeltelijk afhankelijk is van de loting in de komende rondes.
Als ik het even heel snel bekijk dan zijn Starman en Love Like Blood hiervan de enige 2 nummers die nog nooit de finale gehaald hebben.

Als ik zo even vluchtig kijk naar de rankings van vorig jaar zou het best zo kunnen zijn dat op basis daarvan dit de sterkste ladder van Ronde 4 was waarmee we van start zijn gegaan (door een foutje in de rankingstool voor het "automatisch" stemmen zijn we niet met ladder 1 gestart, die volgt later).
En er sneuvelen gelijk ook al een aantal nummers die vorig jaar nog bij de bovenste 160 stonden. Zo gaan we in ieder geval Burial en Röyksopp Feat. Robyn al verliezen. En de trend van dit jaar zet gewoon door, het zijn de oudjes die de plaats van deze nummers innemen in de vorm van Black Sabbath (een DAB dit jaar voor Ozzy in de MuMeLadder?) en The Who.
En dan was het nog heel spannend voor de 7e plaats die rechtstreekse plaatsing betekent. Sonic Youth haalt het met 1 puntje boven Leonard Cohen en dat kan wel eens een heel belangrijk puntje zijn gelet op de stempercentages. Want met dit stempercentage zou je het vorig jaar net niet gered hebben in de afvallerslijst, dus of Leonard Cohen het gaat redden is nog maar de vraag.
