Niet echt de kans gehad om veelvuldig, actief en met aandacht te kunnen luisteren. Een deel blijft bij de eerste-indruk-scores van zonet steken. Soms in het voordeel, soms niet.

Had je mij op voorhand gevraagd welk nummer ik met groot gemak naar de finale zag gaan, was dat vast en zeker die van The Amazons geweest. Maar dat is dus veel minder zeker en / of uitgesproken dan gedacht.

Had je mij op voorhand gevraagd welk nummer (naast de ususual suspects als Drachtige Guy) enkele zware onvoldoendes zou ontvangen, gokte ik op The Temper Trap. Wrong again. Jullie hebben me aangenaam verrast! Redelijk verzot op wat met grote voorsprong hun beste worp is sinds Sweet Disposition. Ondanks de ietwat vrolijke toon, is het een heel persoonlijke song van de zanger naar aanleiding van een tragisch verlies. Oorspronkelijk zou dit zijn solo-project worden, maar zijn kompanen vonden het zo goed dat het onder de bandnaam uitgebracht werd.

SONS is echt één van de betere rockbands van het moment, helaas worden ze door sommigen hier consequent ondergewaardeerd.

Bij de nummers die ik nog niet kende, leverde So komma Reverie de leukste ontdekking.

Brielle en Marseille goed, maar The Maccabees is de beste (volgens mij wel al een ouder nummer nieuw gereleased), Sam Fender wordt er de laatste tijd ook niet beter op, de gitaarsolo maakt het nog enigszins goed, Haim valt mij ook wat tegen, dat moet de invloed van Bon Iver zijn (daar heb ik niet veel mee). Voor de rest heel veel slechte tot heel slechte nummers/
