De beste album knock-out is nog niet afgelopen, maar gezien het tempo waarmee het gaat verwacht ik dat dat morgen wel het geval is. Vandaar dat het tijd is om een tegenhanger op te starten. Hierbij geen discussie over de zoveelste keer The Cure vs. Pink Floyd, want dit is namelijk de Obscure Albums Knock-Out. Natuurlijk rijst de vraag: 'Wanneer is een album obscuur, en wanneer niet?' Vandaar dat ik voor de nominaties de grens heb gesteld op maximaal 50 stemmen op MuMe. Hiermee hoop ik op een leuke knock-out, met eens een andere winnaar.

Regels voor de nominaties:
- Alleen reguliere studio-albums, dus geen EP's, singles, verzamelaars, live-albums, bootlegs, fan-edities of wat voor andere ongein dan ook.
- Maximaal 50 stemmen op MuMe, op het moment van nomineren.
- Maximaal 4 albums per artiest
- Geen albums die recent zijn uitgekomen (en daardoor dus nog geen 50 stemmen hebben...)

Maar het probleem met obscure albums is dat er zo weinig mensen zijn die kunnen stemmen...

Mijn nummer een mag trouwens wel meedoen dan

hier zal ik rekening mee houden met de knock-out regeling natuurlijk... bovendien een mooi podium om nieuwe albums te leren kennen

Bedoel je dan niet minimaal 50 stemmen? Anders is het namelijk geen probleem dat platen nog geen 50 stemmen hebben..

Ach, dan hoeven we ons niet te vertellen in de kerstvakantie.

Maar ik denk dat er wel veel meer dan 512 albums te verzinnen zijn. Waarom niet gewoon zoeken op stemgemiddelde hoger dan 4,20 en aantal stemmen tussen 5 en 50?

Daarvoor vind ik het stemgemiddelde op zo'n aantal iets te weinigzeggend eigenlijk. Doe dan gewoon alle obscure platen die ík ken. Dat vind ik een veel handiger criterium

Maximaal lijkt me. Als ze net uit zijn hebben ze minder dan 50 stemmen omdat veel mensen nog niet de tijd hebben genomen om ze te beluisteren, en niet omdat ze obscuur zijn.

@ orbit: wat Koenr zegt idd, het gaat om obscure platen, en niet om platen die nog geen 50 stemmen hebben omdat ze net uit zijn. Vandaar die regel

@ herman: ik laat liever mensen zelf nomineren, dan weet ik iig zeker dat er één iemand het album kent en dat er dus iig op gestemd kan worden...

Lijkt me ook wel een probleem. Zie je nu al in de jaren '80 K.O. Vaak ken je slechts een van de twee (en mag je eigelijk niet stemmen). Vooral lastig als er twee genres tegenover elkaar staan. Dus mensen gaan op hun favourite genre stemmen ongeacht of ze het andere album ooit gehoord hebben.

Mja jullie hebben op zich wel punt, maar dat denk ik als volgt op te lossen:

- De 1e ronde kort te houden (tot 3 à 4), zodat er maar weinig stemmers nodig zijn.
- Ik stel een minimum in van 5 stemmen op MuMe, zodat er iig een aantal MuMe'ers het album kennen.
- Ik zal in de eerste ronde voornamelijk albums binnen hetzelfde genre aan elkaar koppelen.
- Er is altijd nog de 24-uurs regeling
- Desnoods ga ik wel allebei de albums beluisteren om een winnaar te bepalen...

Hmm, eindelijk een KO waar mijn favoriete albums allemaal inkunnen

Minimum aantal stemmen lijkt me inderdaad wel een vereiste, want anders is het wachten tot de 24-uurs regeling
Ik zou best een hele berg electronica willen opsommen, maar aangezien onderhond zich hier nooit meer laat zien sta ik dan vrijwel alleen in het stemmen

Als ik even mag, daar schakel je eigenlijk al wel een hoop albums uit (lees: ongeveer alle albums uit mijn favo genre...). Zo vind je in mijn toevoegingen-lijst een hoop erg obscure & vaak erg mooie albums maar misschien maar 1 die het minimum haalt. Dit geldt dan meteen voor een hele hoop andere albums vrees ik (vooral in mijn straatje)...

tsja sorry Peter, maar je moet af en toe wat schikken om tot een fatsoenlijke knock-out te komen... veel van mijn mooie Spaanse & Italiaanse albums halen het minimum ook niet. Zit maar één ding op: verspreid je albums onder de MuMe'ers, zodat ze de grens van 5 stemmen halen
