6-13 ... .. maar allebei fantastisch .. heb alleen toch net iets meer met Billie Jean door het fantastische intro van dat nummer (die bass die komt inzetten.. gewoon kippenvel.)

Ik zit niet te wachten op een Prince KO want ik ken eigenlijk enkel zijn jaren 70 en 80 werk. Ik heb ook geen behoefte om doorheen het kluwen van negatief bekritiseerde platen van na die periode te worstelen.
Met 3121 en Musicology heeft hij mijn aandacht nog eventjes kunnen trekken maar de nieuwe liefde was toch weer snel uitgedoofd.

Leuke KO.

Dat was nog eens een leuke KO, die helemaal langs me heen is gegaan.
Maar belachelijk zoals vele geweldige MJ songs werden afgeserveerd tegen niet meer dan prima Prince songs in ronde 1.

Let wel: Ik ben van beiden een groot liefhebber (nog steeds).

Tijd om opnieuw te spelen? Het is immers, bijna, 6 jaar geleden.

Op zich een prima idee, maar ben bang (wel afhankelijk van een loting) dat het dan zo'n beetje dezelfde finale zou kunnen worden. Wel dan een bevestiging van de status van de tracks binnen de oeuvres van MJ en P.
Als When Doves Cry dan wordt vervangen voor Raspberry Beret is het helemaal een topfinale.

Denk dat er dus wel genoeg animo voor is. Ik ga eens even wat samenstellen.

En we spelen 'm 5,5 jaar na dato gewoon opnieuw. Heb zoveel mogelijk leuks proberen te selecteren. Bij Michael heb ik alleen zijn Sony releases meegeteld en het Motown/ Jackson 5 werk achterwege gelaten, omdat die releases "ander" werk zijn als je het tegenover het werk van Prince zet. En excuses Prince fans als ik wat werk ben vergeten. Zit niet zo diep in het materiaal van Prince als dat ik zit bij Michael.

Eén van de weinige nummers van MJ waar ik geen klap aan vind. En G&B blijft toch een leuk nummertje.
En helaas wederom geen Eye Hate U van Prince's sterke album The Gold Experience in de gelederen
Maar tof dat jij de samenstelling hebt opgestart, Robin . Kan ik na 5,5 jaar toch eens meedoen aan een nu al persoonlijk legendarisch (waar is die schijnheilige smiley) topic.

De Lovesexy hits van Prince hebben wel zwaar geloot...alleen Alphabet St. ...die doet niet mee.

4-3 (ik vind die ballad dus echt vreselijk)

Maar als ik deze lijst zo eens zie dan gaat het wel heel erg vaak Prince worden.... ik vrees dat dat niet leuk is voor het spel dus ik ga toch passen voor het verdere verloop.

Overigens staat Prince nu in Birmingham en het is geweldig: wat een heerlijke setlist!

Aah joh. Daar tegenover sta ik die weer een voorkeur voor de Jackson tracks heb. Dus het is evenredig.

Er zitten wel een paar hele nare battles tussen zeg (47, 51, 64 bijv.)

Ik vond het al zo raar dat je dit zei. Wist bijna zeker dat ik Alphabet St. in de nominatielijst had gezet. Nu zie ik dat Raspberry Beret er dubbel instaat.
