School en Avond wel. School is pas veel later op single uitgebracht en heeft als het goed is de top 40 nog gehaald, en Avond is nooit verder gekomen dan de tipparade.

Vele albumtracks die nooit op single zijn verschenen groeien uit tot klassiekers. Stairway to Heaven van Led Zeppelin is daar een schoolvoorbeeld van.
Van the Beatles, Pink Floyd en the Doors bv. vind ik de meeste albumtracks doorgaans beter dan de hitsingles.

Als Avond nu uit gebracht zou worden, dan zou hij waarschijnlijk erg hoog eindigen.
Van School staat mij ook iets van bij, dat die later vanwege het succes van Veronica's Top 100 Aller Tijden op single is verschenen.

Halo Of Flies is alléén maar in Nederland als single uitgebracht ooit.. maar simpelweg het beste nummer van Alice Cooper.

Die singles/albumtracks discussie in een top 100 loopt al sinds mensenheugenis.

In 1973 besloot men alsnog Sympathy for the devil van de Rolling stones uit te brengen op single, omdat de plaat was gekozen in de Top 100 aller tijden van dat jaar. En dat kon natuurlijk niet, een LP-track in een lijst met singletjes.

De enige andere LP-track die de lijst van Veronica destijds sierde was Stairway to heaven maar Led zeppelin heeft altijd geweigerd dit nummer als single uit te willen brengen.
