Dat laatste is misschien wel handig, ik zal wel een paar ladders vooruit posten morgen. De hele loting is nog niet bekend omdat er nog steeds nominaties bij komen en ik wil voorkomen dat al iemand's nominaties in dezelfde ladder terecht komen.

Wat betreft Gorillaz: On Melancholy Hill vind ik niet zo geweldig, eigenlijk. Ik mis eerder White Flag en Superfast Jellyfish. Stylo ben ik inmiddels wel wat beu gehoord en Rhinestone Eyes vind ik het allerbeste nummer van Plastic Beach.

Triggerfinger vond ik niet veel aan, Tim Knol wel aardig en Michael Jackson kon er ook mee door. The Radio Dept is een toffe ontdekking, deed me een beetje denken aan Jens Lekman, maar dan in bandvorm. John Roberts was ik erg benieuwd naar. Denk wel dat een heel album beter werkt dan een losse track.

Ben het met alles met je eens, behalve dan dat ik On Melancholy Hill wel erg mooi vind Ik ben dan ook groot Gorillaz fan. Stylo is inderdaad een beetje doodgedraaid en dat vind ik ook één van de minste van Plastic Beach, wat werkelijk volzit met verborgen pareltjes (4,5* van mij). Overigens duurde het wel lang voor ik het zo ging waarderen als nu, op het eerste gehoor klinkt alles een beetje goedkoop en (hoe toepasselijk) een beetje te plastic. Echter, als je het album een beetje doorkrijgt, kom je erachter dat het geen goedkope electrodeuntjes zijn, maar complete geweldige electronische symfonieën, uiterst goed geproduceerd, echt prachtig. (Heel verhaal over Plastic Beach hier Mag niet erg zijn, toch?)

Matige ladder, alleen de eerste twee nummers zijn echt goed (mooie ontdekking, The Radio Dept!), Limit To Your Love is redelijk goed en eigenlijk vind ik die van Johnny Cash al niet veel meer aan. Welke ik daaronder zou plaatsen was erg lastig want de rest vind ik matig tot slecht. Uiteindelijk maar voor John Robert gekozen ook al vind ik er niet veel aan, wel mooi geproduceerd.
