Flinke verschuivingen, Lust for Youth, Woodkide en James Blake kelderen naar beneden en CocoRosie is verdwenen. Mount Kimbie stijgt naar de tweede plek, echt een fantastische single is dat, heerlijke vocalen. Tyler komt ook hoog binnen. Ghostpoet (Britse rap over moderne beats) stond weken lang in de tiplijst en komt nu direct met twee nummers binnen. Justin Timberlake en Major Lazer staan nu naast de Top 40 ook in deze Top 20. Van Major Lazer is het niet dezelfde single. Bumaye is leuk, maar Jessica nog leuker - bovendien is het origineel van Typhoon en Flexican beter. De tiplijst is deze week echt veel te klein voor wat ik er in wil. Dus check ook vooral de Spotify-playlist waar nog veel meer staat.

Don't Swallow the Cap van The National Is toch geen single?

Volgens mij ook niet nee.

Volgens Pitchfork wel

Maar ik wil 'm wel even vervangen als er geen zekerheid is.

Mja dat is toch gewoon melden dat ze een stuidoversie van een lied op een komend album gelost hebben. Niet alles wat op pitchfork staat is een single en The National maakt altijd clips voor hun singles.

Waarom zouden ze ook 2 singles tegelijkertijd uitbrengen;

liefst stuur ik naar de anderen die het in hun lijst hebben staan ook nog een bericht.

Nee, maar Pitchfork zet het er wel expliciet bij. Normaal doen ze dat niet, dan zeggen ze gewoon dat het een albumtrack is. Daarom dacht ik het. Maar ik vervang 'm wel even. Maar het zou me niet verbazen als het over een aantal weken alsnog een single wordt.

Edit: Op Wikipedia staat: The Second Single 'Don't Swallow The Cap' was released at 17 April. Ik zal de bron die wikipedia heeft gebruikt even nakijken, maar ze zullen dat er niet voor niets bijzetten.
Sowieso als je op google intypt the national don't swallow the cap single geven veel nieuwssites het als single aan.

Op hun facebook hebben ze gewoon een link gezet en op hun site staat alleen demons (met de videoclip erbij)

tegenwoordig nemen sites vlug dingen over zonder bronnen te checken hoor.

Inderdaad, Pfork noemt dingen regelmatig een single en vervolgens komen ze helemaal nergens of soms zelfs helemaal nooit uit.

91 punten (!!!), dat is toch wel een opmerkelijke score. The Boxer Rebellion houdt zo met een straat voorsprong grote namen af zoals: Sigur Rós & The National. Phosphorescent houdt ook nog altijd stand in de top 3. Veel nieuwe stemmers (waarvoor dank) dat zorgt ook voor een vernieuwd landschap in de afrekening. Nieuwkomers: Foals (met hun 3de single al),M83 ft. Susanne Sundør, Savages, Ghostpoet, AlunaGeorge & Vondelpark. De slachtoffers zijn: Sonny & The Sunsets (1w), David Bowie (4w), The Soft Moon (1w), The Irrepressibles (11 weken !!!), Indiana (3w) en Anouk (2w). Haalt The Boxer Rebellion volgende week nog eens een monsterscore en kan er hen iemand bedreigen?

Daarnaast ook het eerste metalnummer in mijn top 10 en hoog in de tiplijst het vriendje van Flying Lotus, Thundercat, met een door voorgenoemd geproduceerd topnummer.

Alweer een nieuwe nummer 1! Ik blijf wisselen. Om deze eerste plaats voor AlunaGeorge kan ik echt niet heen, want ik heb dit nummer echt ongelofelijk veel geluisterd de afgelopen week.
Daarachter houdt Margaret Berger goed stand (ik had haar eigenlijk al flink laten zakken, maar nu ik het nummer weer hoor blijft het toch gewoon lekker op 2 staan). Float Fall is ondertussen opgeklommen tot een derde plaats.

Zoals jullie kunnen zien heb ik mijn tiplijst omgedoopt tot wachtlijst. De nummers in mijn tiplijst waren vaak nummers die bij de meeste gebruikers op deze site allang bekend waren, dus van 'tips' was daarom niet echt sprake. Nu is het een wachtlijstje met nummers waarvoor ik nog even geen plaats heb in mijn top 10. Zie het maar als een verlenging van mijn top 10, met zo nu en dan eens een leuke tip.

Spannend bovenaan en zo sterk dat het puzzelen is. Paar van mijn absolute toppers uit 2013 zijn verdwenen alleen Until The Ribbon Breaks blijft er nog eventjes instaan. Nieuwkomers zijn Sleepers' Reign (de 2de uit de humo rock rally van vorig jaar na de compact disk dummies en voor Float Fall, waarvan zij het meest originele geluid hebben en ook mij het meest aanstaan) Andere Belgische nieuwkomer is: The Rhythm Junks (vandaag heel de dag met dit lied in mijn hoofd gezeten, prachtig eigen sound hebben ze en ook redelijk catchy). Daarnaast ook nog Durag Dynaste en Ghostface Killer met hun Single maar eigenlijk was ik die 2 liedjes de afgelopen weken al vergeten (beiden net ook een prachtig album uit). And last but not least 't hof van commerce. Ik zal waarschijnlijk de enigste zijn die dit goed vindt, maar ik ben dan ook een West-Vlaming.
