Nu zien jullie mij niet heel veel op het hiphop-forum. Maar ik ben wel degelijk een grote hiphopfan. Het magnum opus voor mij in de hiphop is sinds een tijdje Enter The Wu-Tang. Vond zelf eerste de jaren '90 hiphop wat minder. Maar daar moet ik nu sterk op terugkomen. Enter The Wu-Tang is een van de sterke platen die ik ooit heb gehoord. (al zijn de andere solo releases ook steengoed). Wat deze plaat van de Wu-Tang Clan zo sterk maakt? De sfeer natuurlijk, opgewekt door de mooie film intro en outro's. De beats van RZA, die me eerst wat oppervlakkig klonken, maar nu ontdek je de ontzettende gelaagdheid en de afwisselendheid. Dan heb je ook nog de fijne refreinen die ieder nummer bezit.
En als laatste natuurlijk de verses van de verschillende mc's. Er zit eigenlijk geen enkele slechte verse tussen. 9 mc's in topvorm en allen met een eigen stijl en geluid.

Maar wat is nou de allerbeste verse van het beroemde Enter The Wu-Tang album?

Dit kan interessant worden, en inderdaad vrij onmogelijk.

3-1 Method is een baas op dit nummer. En de eerste verse is misschien nog wel beter.

4-1 Ik vind Enter The Wu-tang goed omdat de beats zijn hoe ze zijn en de sfeer en energie die in de plaat aanwezig is, niet zozeer omdat de verses nou zo steengoed zijn. Wat dan de verses betreft denk ik dat ik die van CREAM, Tearz en Can It Be All So Simple het beste vind omdat het de enige nummers zijn die echt inhoud hebben en niet alleen brag and boast zijn met martial arts verwijzingen. Misschien een beetje snel alles over één kam geschoren maar zo zie ik het.

Misschien is tot de 6 en 2 verschil beter om mee te beginnen in de eerste ronde, dus doe dat maar.

Wat een ultiem bazentopic

Eerst wilde ik voor Method Man gaan, omdat dat echt mijn favoriet is, maar nu bedenk ik met dat die verse van C.R.E.A.M. toch wel dusdanig classic en fantastisch is dat hij net wint bij me.
