Tja er blijft altijd wel iets te wensen over.
Ik kijk wel op dat Bela Lugosi's nog niet genoemd is, die is uit dit jaar en het debuut album uit 1980 (daar staat Bela Lugosi niet op), die single van Bauhaus was destijds toch wel een cult-hit.
ik heb zelf A touching display maar in het lijstje gezet omdat ik dat een top kandidaat vind, die niet mocht ontbreken.
Ik verwacht zelf dat New dawn fades van JD gaat winnen, maar dat duurde toch nog even voor die in de lijst kwam, dus wie weet.

Ik vind het moeilijk om favoriete songs per jaar bij elkaar te zoeken, maar probeer straks Bauhaus er toch nog bij te zetten

* Here you go, herman. Volledig akkoord dat die er idd bij moet. Van This Heat heb ik enkel de plaat Deceit uit 1981 al beluisterd. De s/t uit 1979 ben ik nog niet aan toegekomen. Another Song van Swell Maps vind ik goed, maar niet genoeg voor een nominatie en Chrome heb ik nog te weinig beluisterd. Gaat richting industrial, niet? Dan kies ik dus liever voor ontbrekende artiesten als Au Pairs, Killing Joke, The Associates en The Durutti Column. The 15th is ook een nummer van de schitterende plaat Wire - 154 (1979) dat er zeker bij moet!

** De beste van Blondie staat er nog niet in?? Als Heart of Glass genoemd werd in 1978, kan deze toch ook genomineerd worden in 1979? Staat namelijk op Blondie - Eat to the Beat (1979).

Atomic van Blondie is inderdaad uit 1979,
maar hoort in mijn hitsingle geheugen bij 1980.

Het was dan pas een hit en bleef misschien daarom ook uit het vizier bij andere deelnemers.

De limited Sordide Sentimental release van Joy Division
met Atmosphere en Dead Souls is ook uit 1979, al linken de meesten onder ons die songs wellicht
eerder aan 1980 (de US release van Atmosphere) of 1981 (toen Dead Souls op Still verscheen).

Ik denk dat New Dawn Fades wat op zich liet wachten in de lijst (hetzelfde voor Boys Don't Cry)
omdat iedereen dacht dat ie wel door iemand anders zou genomineerd worden.

In het leuke boeke 1001 songs you must hear before you die, is Atomic (1979) ook opgenomen.
De beide liedjes (Passenger, Teenage kicks) die hier bij ons 1977 en 1978 hebben gewonnen staan er trouwens ook in.
Dat denken dat New dawn fades toch wel genomineerd zou worden had ik ook, kon ik mooi wat andere leuke nummers kiezen.

Ik heb Joy Division niet overwogen omdat er al drie nummers van instonden. Niet dat dat veel is (zeker gezien hun statuur, wat mij betreft kwamen er nog drie bij). Maar sommige artiesten en klassieke albums (Entertainment, Y) waren helemaal nog niet vertegenwoordigd. Novelty is in ieder geval een prachtnummer, zeker één van de beste van Joy Division voor mij. Ben blij dat jij er aan denkt, freddze!

de kans te geven nog 1 nummer (geen 3) aan de lijst van 92 toe te voegen
om zo het ronde getal 100 te bereiken.

Dus: Lukas, als je weer 2 songs wil verwijderen?

Lukas en dazzler Changeling mag blijven staan, die wil ik wel toevoegen,
Dus nog een liedje vervangen?

Ik wil er She's Lost Control van Joy Division er nog wel in

Okee, in de hoop dat Lukas nog reageert.

Indien niet, dan wip ik er zelf Pop Musik van M uit
ten voordele van de suggesties van Rudi S en ArthurDZ.

Het spel start van zodra ik er vandaag kan voor gaan zitten: ten laatste vanavond.

Fijn...het water loopt me nu al ut de mond

Ter verdediging van Lukas' 3 nominaties: hij had in de tweede nominatieronde, waarin iedereen 3 nominaties mocht kiezen, niets genomineerd, dus heeft hij dan niet alsnog 'recht' op 3 nominaties?

In dat geval hebben wij er dus 100

Ik was inderdaad in de veronderstelling dat men al aan nominatie nummer 9 p.p. toe was. Deze drie waren mijn nummers 6, 7 en 8. Maar als dazzler als organisator liever Joy Division heeft dan M, is het ook prima hoor.

Neen, die redenering komt een beetje te laat.
Er waren al twee deadlines verstreken: die van 5 en 3 nominaties.
Nu ging het enkel om het volmaken van de 100 songs.

She's Lost Control komt in de plaats van M (Lukas nomineert zelf ook liever Josef K, vermoed ik).

Ik ga de kaarten schudden.

Ik heb even zitten nadenken over de spelregels.
Die wilde ik langs de ene kant niet te veel wijzigen.

Ik ben zelf geen voorstander van 5-3-2 stemsleutel, maar ik behoud hem wel.

1ste ronde

100 songs in 10 dagen van 2 ladders van 5 songs (100 = 10 x 2 x 5).
Als de beste drie doorgaan, blijven 60 songs in het spel.

2de ronde

60 songs in 6 dagen van 2 ladders van 5 songs (60 = 6 x 2 x 5).
Opnieuw gaan de beste 3 over en blijven 36 songs over.

Ik speel niet met herkansingsladders, maar in de plaats daarvan
heb ik een alternatief in gedachten. Die verrassingskaart zou ik hier willen trekken.

Hoe we dan verder naar de finale gaan, zal later blijken.

Ja, prima uiteraard, hoe dan ook een tamelijk briljante startlijst!

Josef K is op de valreep ook een erg fijne nominatie. Ik dacht eigenlijk dat dat nummer uit '81 kwam, maar het is twee keer op single verschenen zie ik nu (geen idee of de '79-versie anders klinkt, de tweede heb ik op een Josef K-verzamelaar).
