Ik zie het ja. Nouja, bijna perfect.

mmm, er haddden best wat nummers van Slanted & Enchanted bijgemogen hoor! En wat minder van het laatste album. Als ik dan toch een nummer van het laatste album mocht kiezen, zou ik Major Leagues nemen.

Ik heb gemerkt dat een ultieme setlist over het algemeen interessanter en standvastiger bij me is. Al is dat in het geval van The Beatles waarschijnlijk nog iets utopischer . Oke, ik heb me ook eens over een Beatles-compilatie van 16 tracks gebogen. Ai, wat is dat moeilijk. Op voorhand had ik me bijvoorbeeld niet kunnen voorstellen dat prachtsongs als Girl, Something en The Long And Winding Road buiten de boot zouden vallen.. (en zo smokkelde hij nog 3 extra liedjes in zijn berichtje )

Er is nog een groot verschil tussen mijn persoonlijke 'best of', of wat ik voor iemand zou maken om 'in te wijden'.. Van sommige nummers weet ik nou eenmaal dat je ze beter later kunt horen, als je al enigszins aan sounds/feeling gewend bent. De 'wacky, idiot pop songs' (zoals Robert Smith ze zelf noemt) ontbreken veel meer bij 'best of', waar ik niettemin dit van zou maken:
