Dr. Dre is eigenlijk ook meer een producer dan een rapper.

Ik moet toch wel even flink fronsen wanneer ik de pagina's zo afloop. Op een gegeven moment zag ik zelfs Method Man genoemd worden. Method Man! Nou ja, goed. Ik zal even een aantal rappers noemen die ik op basis van hun teksten wel heel sterk vind. Sommigen zijn wel al genoemd, gelukkig. Ik heb het hier overigens over de inhoud en hoe treffend die wordt verwoord. Souls of Mischief en Big Pun hebben bijvoorbeeld ook geweldige teksten, maar dat komt door het geweldig uitgebalanceerde en/of creatieve metrum. Daardoor klinken de raps ritmisch haast perfect. Del heeft het, met name op Deltron 3030 allebei tegelijk, wat hem mijn ultieme favoriet maakt.

Big Pun is beste rapper die ooit is geweest vooral qua flow maar zijn lyrics zijn gewoon ook enorm ziek.

Had zo`n antwoord al verwacht. Ben van mening dat deze mannen in de mainstream mad underrated zijn, wat volgens mij vooral komt door hun beatkeuzes (beats komen bij mij op de laatste plaats, Lyrics>Flow>Beat). Nieuwe album van Royce word vooral door primo gedaan dus dat is al een dikke plus.
Hoop dat ze wat meer respect krijgen wanneer Royce Da 5'9 en Joell Ortiz hun albums droppen; Street Hop en Free Agent. Ik vind het laatste album van Joe Budden, Padded Room ook dik gewoon. Staat geen slechte track op.
Vind ook dat 4 toch behoorlijk verschillende MC`s zo goed melten tot 1 groep. Daarom vind ik ze ook doper als 4 Horsemen, die groep bestaat uit dope MC`s maar samen klinkt het gewoon niet.
En zeg eerlijk, zo`n track als "Move On" van Slaughterhouse is toch gewoon dope.

Persoonlijk ben ik erg benieuwed naar dat Slaughterhouse project. Het zijn zeker sterke rappers maar alleen Crooked I kan ik echt een lyricaal zwaargewicht noemen. Royce Da 59 en Joell Ortiz vind ik zeer sterke rappers maar zijn alleen niet van het niveau Crooked I. En met Joe Buddens ben ik niet echt bekend maar over hetgeen wat ik van hem gehoord heb ben ik niet echt te spreken dus hij is zoiezo de zwakste schakel van de groep. Maargoed totaal gezien heb je dus een sterke groep die volgens mij alle potentie hebben om een goed product af te leveren.

Totaal niet mee eens.
Verre van oldschool.
Alle vier zijn het zeer matige rappers en dat zeker vanwege mainstream zijn.
De status die EPMD, WU, Gang Starr en kan zo wel doorgaan hadden toen ze ook mainstream waren(89-94). Hadden veel betere vocabulaire rap kwaliteiten. Dan.....
