Ik vind de mijne er eigenlijk wel met kop en schouders bovenuit steken

Nogal wat stoffige lijstjes....maar gelukkig zit er ook nog wel wat energieks tussen.

Teveel oude albums ook. Het lijkt wel of iedereen hier met zijn muzieksmaak in de 70's is blijven hangen.

In een lijst van jaren '70-albums kun je moeilijk albums van 2013 verwachten.

Wanneer kunnen we Orbit alias Fred Kreppelin verwachten om traditiegetrouw zijn scherpzinnige licht over de 70's te laten schijnen?

Zo, even het gehalte Soul, Funk en Wereld naar boven halen.

Voor diegenen die de "zwarte" muziek een warm hart toe dragen kijk eens bij Muziek >> Muziekgames >> De MuMe "Zwarte" Album lijst en stuur ook een lijst in. Momenteel loopt de jaren 60 editie deadline is 31 mei.

Het wereldgehalte haal je met deze lijst echt niet omhoog, hoor. Veel Amerikaanser kan 'ie niet worden.

Amerikanen zijn toch de wereld?

Fela Kuti, Tony Allen, The Wailers.......
3 van de 30 is toch 10% bij de meeste lijsten is het zero, zero behalve dan bij die van sheep67

Ja, en dan? Is daar iets mis mee volgens jou?

Die drie zijn wel allemaal sterk verwesterd.

Nee hoor, het is slechts een constatering.


Dat is maar hoe je er naar kijkt, geloof toch dat het zo is dat zowel Fela als ook Tony en ook The Wailers (met en zonder Bob) een behoorlijke inspiratie bron zijn geweest voor "westerse" muziekkanten.

Ah oké. Ik constateer zero Avant-Garde, zero Metal, zero Aziatische wereldmuziek, zero Indische wereldmuziek, zero Scandinavische wereldmuziek enz...in jouw lijstje.

En ik constateer een fout. Het moet Al Green zijn, niet All Green.

Ik vraag me bij zulke discussies altijd af of je als muziekliefhebber uit pak hem beet Jamaica, Zimbabwe of Bolivia goede sier zou maken met een classicrocklijstje vol blanke mannen met gitaren.

Het een sluit het ander niet uit. Wederzijdse beinvloeding noemt men dat.

Inmiddels alweer 39 deelnemers. En grotendeels correcte lijstjes die grotendeels allemaal direct ingevoerd kunnen worden.

Het is dan wel weer enigszins "grappig" dat in je persoonlijke Top 10 maar liefst 6 albums staan uit die jaren 70.

Wat mij dan weer opvalt uit de diverse lijstjes dat er relatief weinig instaat uit ons eigen landje.

Dat zijn er slechts vier, of eigenlijk vijf, ouwe reus. Bovendien is er in mijn lijst wèl een meesterwerk van eigen bodem present...

De jaren '70. En óf ik daar wat mee heb ...

Ik was tussen de 7 en 17 jaar oud, luisterde naar RNI en Caroline en natuurlijk kende ik de Top 40 op mijn kleine duimpje. Bob Dylan zat al vroeg in de paplepel, evenals Ekseption, Focus en Kayak, ons nationale supertrio. De grote ontdekkingen van de jaren '70 deed ik eigenlijk pas begin jaren '80: Alan Parsons Project, Todd Rundgren, Dan Fogelberg e.a.
Redelijk representatief lijstje, denk ik, al zal ik straks me voor het hoofd slaan: waarom staat díe er toch niet in!
Ach, best weinig, dertig albums van de jaren '70. Tweehonderd zou ook niet moeilijk zijn. Mijn decennium. Ik groeide er groot mee.

Porcupine Tree en Queensrÿche stonden daarnet er zeker nòg niet in ...

Maarre het was "slechts" een constatering wat betreft je Top 10 en dat er weinig te vinden was uit de Hollandse muziekschool en dat gold niet alleen voor jou lijst er is zeker in de jaren 60 en in dit geval jaren 70 prima muziek gemaakt in ons eigen landje en die opname van The Earring mag er natuurlijk zijn!

Het blijft altijd lastig om een keuze van 40 albums te maken uit de jaren 70 als je zelf het gevoel hebt dat je wel door kon gaan tot 500........
