Nee hoor musician. Op 31 maart schreef jassn immers:

6 nieuwkomers: Mount Kimbie, Sonny & The Sunsets, Nadia Niar, The Soft Moon, British Sea Power, Lust for Youth. Niet echt de grootste muzieknamen dus. De afvallers zijn dan weer: The Postal Service (5 weken), DIIV (5 weken), Daughter (8 weken), Slyd ( 2 weken), Coeur De Pirate (11 weken!!! ) en Duologue (6 weken). In zijn 2de week stijgt The Boxer Rebellion door naar de nummer 1 plaats en houdt nipt Phosphorescent af. Sigur Ros voltooid het podium. Het wordt waarschijnlijk volgende terug een strijd tussen deze 3 liedjes voor de eerste plaats of er zou iets verrassends moeten gebeuren deze week.

Op de eerste plaats komt Shining weer terug binnen stormen, dit komt door de digitale release van het album One One One. James Blake keert ook terug door de release van het nieuwe album wat ik op dit moment tegen vind vallen. Bring Me The Horizon zijn echte volhouders en staan al een maand in de lijst. The Knife komt ook weer terug door de release van het nieuwe album.

Het niveau lijkt dit jaar stukken hoger dan vorig jaar. Of ik kom dit jaar simpelweg met veel meer goede singles in aanraking, dat kan ook. Feit is dat de concurrentie dit jaar veel heviger is en dat het een steeds knappere prestatie wordt als een single mijn top 10 weet te halen, laat staan daar een paar weken weet te blijven.

The Boxer Rebellion is mijn nieuwe nummer 1 en Margaret Berger volgt op minimale achterstand. I feed You My Love is ongelofelijk verslavend. Hopelijk blijft het nog een week of 5 leuk, want het zou zonde zijn als dit nummer tegen die tijd is 'uitgewerkt'.
AlunaGeorge nestelt zich als nieuwe binnenkomer direct op een derde plaats en laat daarmee knap het niet kapot te krijgen Sleepwalking achter zich.

Het aantal nieuwe binnenkomers is deze week erg hoog. Zoals gezegd komt AlunaGeorge binnen op 3. Het lieflijke en sfeervolle Someday van Float Fall (met mannelijke zang die erg op Oliver Sim lijkt) staat op 7, het mysterieuze en zwoele Bound van Indiana belandt 1 plekje lager.
Ook Mount Kimbie en SX zou ik graag in mijn lijst willen zetten, maar daar heb ik nog even geen plaats voor. Mount Kimbie haalde maandag de eindlijst al, dus die heeft geen reclame nodig. SX heeft pas bij twee mensen in de top 10 gestaan dus die kunnen wel wat support gebruiken. (Houd vol Gretz, volgende week ga ik helpen!) Omschrijven kan ik het niet, dus luister er maar gewoon naar.

Met die lijstjes van ranboy kan ik ook altijd wel wat

Ik heb gisteravond de cd's van Peace, The Foals en de Black Angels maar besteld, het moest er maar eens van komen.

Van The Mowgli's (alleen MP3 EP in de VS verkrijgbaar en dan wordt er niet verkocht aan Europese liefhebbers, verder nog geen albums) lukt dat helaas niet zo soepeltjes. Ook op Satellite Stories moet nog even worden gewacht (althans, via Amazon.co.uk).

Jonge en talentvolle bands, je moet ze toch een beetje ondersteunen en ze ook blijken van waardering geven door hun (vermoedelijk) sterke albums aan te schaffen. Dan houden we elkaar een beetje in stand.

Prima segment in de muziek ook, artiesten als Mowgli's, Frank Turner en Jake Bugg.

M83 is gelukkig weer terug met een nieuwe single. Na een succesvolle samenwerking met een van mijn favoriete bands: Royksopp, laat Susanne Sundfor andermaal zien oog voor goede samenwerkingsverbanden te hebben. Deze week onaantastbaar op # 01. Voor volgende week sluit ik helemaal niets uit: met al die nieuwe binnenkomers, een propvolle tiplijst en met de zomer in aantocht!

Nieuwe nummer 1, de echte klik met dit lied kwam begin deze week, daarvoor was het ook al heel goed, maar nu kan ik niet anders dan het op één zetten. Het klinkt half en half als een The National nummer maar dan met andere zang erop. The National kan natuurlijk niet ontbreken en komen dan ook direct hoog binnen voor mijn doen. Dido hoor ik gewoon graag (geen idee waarom, misschien ligt het wel aan haar stem). Holden kende ik alleen maar van een paar remixen (maar vraag me niet de welke) maar het was een hele aangename kennismaking voor mij dit nummer. Sigur Ros groeit wel bij mij. Ik begin het lied te voelen en dat is heel belangrijk bij muziek. Ook Alice in Chains komt binnen met weer een typisch nummer voor hen, but i like it.

ps: geen Dans Dans omdat het jammer genoeg geen single is (denk ik)

Ik mag Dido ook erg graag. Haar eerste twee albums No Angel en Life For Rent vind ik erg mooi en de singles van haar nieuwe album klinken ook erg goed.

En toen bracht The National twee singles in één week uit. En beiden hebben ze dat kwaliteitskeurmerk dat eigenlijk alle nummers van The National uit de afgelopen 8 jaar hebben. Beiden slaan de tiplijst over. Maar toch mag James Blake een week de eerste plek bezetten, zijn album met deze single is echt fantastisch. Daarnaast komt het fijne Follow Baby (mooi intro vooral) de top 10 in. Ook in de tiplijst is de kwaliteit hoog. James Blakes Voyeur en CanOx' Gotham City ontbreken nog in mijn tiplijst.

Aardig wat leuke dingen ontdekt laatste week. Zeker niet hoogstaand maar het luistert lekker weg. Indiana moest er voor wijken vanaf 1, beetje rigoreus maar er was te veel aanbod en de houdbaarheidsdatum van Bound viel wat tegen. Maar het kan maar zo zijn dat ie snel weer een reentry maakt. Mazes is een heerlijk rammelrockplaatje en Stealing Sheep maakt mij instant vrolijk. Big Deal heeft een groot The Kills-gehalte en derhalve ook goed. En Jamie, tsja, die maakt altijd fijne warme muziek.
