Natuurlijk is bovengenoemde geen mainstream , maarjuist daarom overleven deze albums beter door de decennia heen. Popmuziek uit de sixties is ook mooi voor wie er van houdt; ....... Ik niet dus.

Met geen mainstream bedoel ik eigenlijk dat in die tijd dat deze artiesten optraden/albums produceerden, vaak opereerden op een underground-level, 'but on a very large scale', zoals bijv The Doors & Jimi Hendrix - de overige artiesten van mijn top 10 waren zeker in die tijd van de jaren zestig relatief onbekend of zelfs geheel onbekend bij een groot publiek. Voorgaande zuig ik niet uit mijn duim, maar is gebaseerd op mijn eigen studie van boeken en artikelen over deze artiesten...
