De naam Dead Can Dance kwam veel voorbij en deze stond toen voor een redelijke prijs in de winkel. Ondanks dat het niet mijn favoriet is blijft zo'n eerste kennismaking toch altijd wat bijzonders houden (en niet mijn favoriet wil niet zeggen niet mooi, want mooi is het zeker).

Ben een tijdje ontzettend fan van de Manics geweest, zeker tot en met het uitkomen van Know Your Enemy. Daarna was het opeens heel gauw over en inmiddels vind ik, op Motorcycle Emptiness na, maar weinig meer aan. Heb This Is My Truth... btw altijd een belabberde plaat gevonden.

Had Revol op MTV gezien en was meteen om. Vind het nog altijd veruit de beste plaat van de Manics, met Gold Against the Soul als goede 2de. De rest luister ik eigenlijk niet meer.

Vond er geen klap aan, irritante dramrock met een soort alternatieve Axl Rose op zang. Latere platen vond ik veel beter omwille van de ijzersterke hits. Ik volg ze nu niet meer.

Beetje onevenwichtige, maar destijds wel 'coole' plaat om te hebben. Maar de branie die dit album kenmerkte was er wel heel snel af. The Holy Bible en Everything Must Go zijn stukken beter natuurlijk, maar Generation Terrorists vind ik nog altijd stukken beter dan de slappe hap van This is My Truth en de daaropvolgende albums.
