Toch maar voor de compleetisten (inclusief moi-meme) een top 10 jaren '50 gemaakt maar de decennia daarna vind ik nog veel beter.

Mooi lijstje, Dynamo D. Het album van Buddy Holly heb ik in bezit, maar eigenlijk nooit beluisterd. Die ga ik komende week dus zeker beluisteren, en aangezien het album van The Crickets (met Buddy Holly) het bij mij ook goed doet, maar die zeker kans voor een plekje in mijn top 10. Die van Jacques Brel ben ik ook erg benieuwd naar, evenals Only the Lonely (aangezien In the Wee Small Hours mijn favoriete 50s-album is).

Denk dat je die van Buddy Holly wel leuk vindt, is echt een toffe plaat. En veel nummers zijn al behoorlijk bekend. Zelf ken ik het album van The Crickets nog niet, moest ik maar eens achteraan.

En terecht! Overigens heb ik voor het eerst ook een luisterlijst voor komende week, dus het kan goed zijn dat mijn lijst nog heel erg gaat veranderen.

Sowieso mooiste hoes uit de 50's

Nou mijn mooiste hoes uit de jaren 50 is gemakkelijk; deze (prachtig album ook in mijn top) Joe Jackson was het met mij eens en pikte hem voor zijn Body and soul album.

Hmm, ik heb weer wat te doen morgen. Het zal wel veel jazz worden wat in mijn top 10/20 zal verschijnen.

Ik ben nu "Mingus Ah Um" aan het beluisteren van Mingus himself. Klinkt niet slecht. Zal ook wel in mijn top 10 komen.

Ik zie hier veel jazz voorbij komen, maar er zijn ook andere genres. Chansons, exotica, mambo en blues gaan denk ik ook mijn lijstje wel halen.

De 50's is nog ontontgonnen terrein voor me, merk ik. Toch heb ik dat kleine beetje wat ik ken even gerangschikt.

Veel jazz inderdaad. Ik mis een beetje essentiële (blues)rockers zoals Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley en Jerry Lee Lewis. 'k Zou bijna alsnog meedoen .

Dat album van Bo Diddley heb ik vanmorgen nog een beluisterd, komt zeker in mijn top 10. Vreemd dat niemand dat nog genomineerd heeft. Voor mij het beste R&R album van de fifties. Tig keer beter als dat debuutalbum van Elvis.
