Dertig gaat niet lukken. Zo goed waren die jaren tachtig niet. Toch een beetje bloedarmoede in de popmuziek gedurende die tijd.
Joni Mitchell en Rufus heb ik een beetje de jaren tachtig ingesmokkeld. Het zijn beide live albums die vooral materiaal uit de jaren zeventig bevatten. Een wat vitaler decennium.

Leuk lijstje, ook graag de jaartallen van de albums even toevoegen.

Het jaartal was optioneel hoor, zie maar in de openingspost.

Vertrouw je het niet? Waarom staat Springsteen wel als enige album uit dit decennium in je top 10, maar niet op één in de lijst van dit decennium?

Ik wist niet dat het optioneel was. Het was niet slecht bedoeld hoor, ik was alleen benieuwd welke jaren het meest naar voren kwamen in je lijst.
Het blijkt alweer dat mijn gevoel van dag tot dag verschilt, ik heb nu weer heel wat andere albums die ik ook de moeite waard vind om een mooie plek te geven. Goed opgemerkt inderdaad!

Night and Day en Purple Rain staan eenzaam bovenaan als enige 5*-albums. De onmiddellijke opvolgers zullen nog even moeten wachten op dat half puntje meer. Dat wil dus zeggen dat ik op dit moment de jaren 70 hoger inschat.
Desalniettemin zit er veel variatie in dit decennium van The Smiths naar Talk Talk en van Dead Can Dance (recent ontdekt!) naar Cabaret Voltaire. Laibach mocht niet ontbreken, en ook The Joshua Tree is onvermijdelijk
