We zijn bij het meest pijnlijke aspect van de challenge beland: het wegstrepen van geweldige platen.

Op dit moment hebben we veertig platen verdeeld over drie bluesgiganten: 14x Albert, 14x B.B. en 12x Freddie. De finale gaan we spelen met dertig platen. Dat betekent dat jullie de taak krijgen om tien nummers te noemen die van jullie niet mee hoeven naar de finale. De nummers die het vaakst genoemd worden zullen de eindstreep helaas niet halen. Er hoeft geen evenredige verdeling gemaakt te worden over de artiesten.

3 nummers van Born Under a Bad Sign, het meesterwerk van Albert King wat ik nu net draai?
Vooral As the Years Go Passing by & Oh Pretty Woman volg ik moeilijk.

Even een quote uit een review die hier op de site bij Born Under a Bad Sign staat:
"Born Under a Bad Sign is wat mij betreft de beste plaat van een van de drie Kings of the Blues, Albert King." Toepasselijk voor deze Greatest Hits en ik ben het er mee eens.

Met zes liedjes vind ik dat album nogal oververtegenwoordigd. Bovendien mag alleen Roy Orbison over een pretty woman zingen.

Ik heb er daarom ook eentje gekozen van die plaat, maar drie stuks? Je hebt bijvoorbeeld maar 2 nummers in totaal van B.B. King. Maar anyway, bedankt voor de uitleg.

Ik zal mij als organisator nog even niet mengen in jullie discussie. Denk dat mijn voorkeur en mening wel duidelijk wordt bij het indienen van mijn top 10 in de finaleronde. Voor nu moet ik natuurlijk nog even onpartijdig tegenover alle drie de Kings staan .

We zijn bij de finale van deze Greatest Hits editie beland. Tijd om je persoonlijke toplijst samen te stellen uit onderstaande finalelijst. We spelen deze finale met 30 platen van 3 artiesten. Lever dan ook jouw persoonlijke top 15 voor de deadline van 18 oktober 20.30 in. Uiteraard hoeft jouw top 15 niet evenredig over de artiesten verdeeld te worden. 

Paar stats tot nu toe:
