Het Bosje heeft vanaf de eerste normale editie (2008) nooit lager gescoord dan plaats #5. Ongekend toch wel. Zo enorm stabiel in de top, mede dankzij een horde trouwe wavers die er al vanaf het begin bij is. Zij dragen ondertussen het stokje weer over aan de nieuwere fans. Mag ik A Forest bij deze uitroepen tot de BoRhap van MusicMeter?

Vrijwel elk jaar probeert een groepje Cure-liefhebbers het (tegen beter weten in) om een Disintegration song hoog in de lijst te pushen. Maar geen van de kandidaten is ook maar enigszins in de buurt gekomen van de populariteit van deze Cure-classic bij uitstek.

Pff klootzakken De Snob 2000 heeft ook al vele jaren een eigen pagina op de Nederlandse Wikipedia. Er zijn precies nul goede redenen te bedenken waarom de MuMeLadder er niet ook eentje zou mogen hebben. Het concept is precies hetzelfde. Een alternatieve lijst voor de Top 2000, die in december wordt uitgezonden via een internetradiostation.

Thumbs up, voor de organisatie.

Ze zeggen wel duidelijk waar het aan schort. Ik denk dat als de tekst neutraler zou zijn (het is nu wel erg anti-Top 2000) en je wat bronnen bij elkaar zoekt je wel een kans maakt.

Mwah, ik denk niet dat de MuMeladder genoeg relevantie heeft voor Wikipedia.

Ik ga er iig mee aan de slag, zou anders toch zonde zijn van het werk dat ik er eerder heb ingestoken. Ik besef me natuurlijk ook wel dat de tekst niet 100% objectief oogt ;P, maar was stiekem ook wel benieuwd hoe lang het zou duren voordat een of meer Wikipedianen er commentaar op zouden geven. Heeft toch nog meer dan een jaar geduurd (ik heb de pagina in 2017 aangemaakt). Veel verschillen met de pagina van de Snob 2000 zie ik trouwens niet, behalve dat ik een wat uitgebreidere toelichting heb geschreven.

De Snob 2000 is ook al sinds 2012 relevant genoeg voor Wikipedia. Ik zie nauwelijks verschillen de Snob is misschien iets bekender omdat de mainstream media er soms ook aandacht aan besteed. Maar verder hebben zij een vergelijkbare website en een vergelijkbaar concept.

Verder blijft het altijd lastig om te bepalen wanneer een onderwerp nu relevant genoeg is voor een eigen pagina. Maar ik mag toch niet hopen dat ze daar een strikt regime voeren, zo alleen maar leiden tot minder editors (en zonder vrijwilligers geen wikipedia).

Er zit toch wel een verschil tussen de Snob 2000 en de Mumeladder. De ladder is alleen een ding binnen onze, toch wel beperkte, gemeenschap. De Snob 2000 heeft een veel breder bereik en daar wordt ook aandacht aan besteed door andere media, zoals het AD. Ik vind de ladder echt niet op Wikipedia passen, persoonlijk.

Ja ik besef me terdege dat de Snob 2000 een groter bereik heeft, maar ze blijven net zo goed in een niche opereren en hebben niet meer dan een website + radioprogramma op Pinguin. Leuk voor de medeliefhebbers daar dat het ze is gelukt om meer aandacht van de media te genereren, maar we moeten ook weer niet doen alsof de bekendmaking van de lijst elk jaar groot nieuws is. Sites als het AD besteden er hoogstens 1 kort internetartikel aan. Slechts 1 op de 6000 Nederlanders heeft de moeite genomen om op de Snob te stemmen. Als er geen plaats meer is voor de MuMeLadder op wikipedia vind ik dat de Snob ook geen bestaansrecht heeft.

TLDR: ze moeten gewoon niet zo moeilijk doen. Er zijn het afgelopen jaar vast een aantal wikipedia-bezoekers geweest die het interessant vonden om over onze alternatieve Top 2000 te lezen

Ja, de Snob 2000 is wel een stuk bekender natuurlijk. Komt ook door de gelijkenis met de Top 2000. De MuMe Ladder wordt uiteindelijk ook samengesteld door een kleinere groep. Als je niet op MuMe zit of geen actief Orinoco-luisteraar bent, zal het volstrekt langs je heen gaan.

Maar misschien kun je ook zorgen dat je hier terechtkomt:

Ik vind het erg prettig dat ze de kwaliteit van de site waarborgen. Een of ander spelletje waar zo’n honderd mensen (soms minder, soms meer) aan meedoen, en buiten de website waarop het plaatsvindt geen enkele bekendheid of relevantie heeft, hoort wat mij betreft gewoon niet op Wikipedia.

Het heeft bovendien al een paragraaf op de pagina van MusicMeter. Lijkt mij voldoende.

De vraag is een beetje waar je de grens moet leggen. Ik snap op zich wel waarom de MML niet relevant genoeg geacht wordt voor Wikipedia en de Snob wel, als je kijkt naar de cijfers van deelnemers aan de samenstelling.

Anderzijds zie ik niet in waarom het kwaad zou kunnen als een goed geschreven artikel een plaats krijgt, ook al is de populariteit van de aangereikte informatie klein. Of het artikel goed genoeg was geschreven weet ik echter niet.

Overigens vind ik de kwaliteit van de NL wiki echt ontzettend slecht ivm de Engelse.

Ik zou het op de ladder zelf houden en de site benadrukken en niet afgeven en vergelijken met Radio 2...

Dat is ook wel weer zo. Bij een fysieke encyclopedie moet je keuzes maken omdat anders het boekwerk té uitgebreid wordt. Bij een digitale encyclopedie heb je dat probleem niet.

Ik vind de Nederlandse Wikipedia inderdaad ook vrij matig.

Mooie lijst weer en nog steeds duizendmaal beter en relevanter dan die draak op de npo. Ik mis nog steeds wel teveel electronic, maar qua rock is het allemaal best wel pui k in orde.
