Haunter klinkt als de oude Opeth (My Arms, Your Hearse/Still Life) met wringende dissonante death/black van bands als Gorguts, Blood Incantation en Krallice. Machtige onheilspellende en dynamische compositie met prachtige rustige stukken.

Zo af en toe kom je bij toeval een nieuwe release tegen waar je van onder de indruk raakt. Unfurl - The Waking Void is voor mij zo'n release. Een fijne portie sludge / post hardcore met, volgens de band zelf, invloeden van death metal, shoegaze en progressieve psychedelische rock. Afijn, geef dit mooie plaatje een kans zou ik zeggen!
