1978 is toch wel een bepalend jaar geweest, ik noem het het 1e jaar van de muzikale jaren 80. Punk evolueerde naar new wave (al zullen sommige het een devaluatie noemen) en tegelijk scoorde niks zo goed als soundtracks.
Ik heb op de bbc ooit een docu gezien over het bijzondere jaar 1978 waar in dezelfde top of the pops uitzending gewoon buzzcocks en boney m konden staan.

De pliesie komt er tot nu toe maar karig vanaf.
