Begin jaren '90 merkten ze dat het publiek opeens 'pa pa pa pa pa pa pa pa pa' meezong bij een van hun grootste hits. Waarom wisten ze niet want van R.E.M. hadden ze nooit gehoord. Uiteindelijk leidde dat ertoe dat Buck, Holsapple, Mills en Berry meededen op hun nieuwe album.

Ik ga in principe aanhaken in de tweede ronde om mijn muziekkennis maar weer eens wat uit te breiden.
