In 2019 organiseerden jordidj1 en Arrie een GH ter ere van Timbaland. Nu gaan we opnieuw terug naar de late 90's en vroege 00's om een ander icoon in het zonnetje te zetten: Darkchild aka Rodney Jerkins. Hij stond aan de wieg van heel veel klassiekers. Helaas raakte hij na 2005-2006 in de vergetelheid, maar met Shirt van SZA bewees Darkchild onlangs nog dat hij zeker niet vergeten mag worden.

Darkchild was een van de producers die de R&B-sound van de late jaren '90 en later bepaalden. Jonge artiesten braken door met zijn producties. Gevestigde namen sprongen mee op de trein door ook met hem samen te werken. Het zijn stomende, dansbare nummers met een sensueel kantje, heel erg de mode van die tijd.
