Wat betreft de uitslag, gekeken naar vorig jaar bijna uit het boekje - 5 top 400 nummers nu ook weer door, alleen The Cure valt uit de toon en uit de top 400. Slowdive en Burial nemen de nieuwe plaatsen in de top 400 in. Voor de afvallers is het hier direct einde verhaal.
Geen afvallers door betekent dat de virtuele scheidslijn weer 1 plekje omlaag gaat, ofwel Mr. Brightside komt terug aan de goede kant van de streep te staan.

The National is de verliezer in deze ladder want die raken hun top 400 positie kwijt. Maar misschien is Gang Starr een nog wel grotere verliezer, niet alleen komen ze een puntje tekort om bij de top 7 te komen voor een rechtstreekse plaats in de volgende ronde...ook komen ze een puntje tekort om het eventueel nog via de afvallerslijst te redden...dat lukt nu namelijk net niet omdat ze 1 plaatsje onder The Smiths - I Know It's Over terechtkomen. Still Corners is trouwens wel de grootste winnaar, die gaan een megasprong in de lijst maken. En ook Tim Hardin keert weer terug in de top 400.

Jammer van The National en de slechte uitslag maar voor erg blij dat de scheidingslijn terug een plekje zakt. Nog eentje en het is perfect

Dat er in deze ijzersterke ladder slachtoffers zouden vallen, was ingecalculeerd, maar het resultaat valt alleszins mee. Sterker nog, er zijn 7 absolute topnummers door - vooral van The Trip is dat een erg fijne verrassing 
Zou alleen mooi zijn geweest als Gang Starr en The National het net hadden gered via de herkansing...

Slowdive èn Burial èn Grimes door in die vorige ladder had ik niet verwacht, erg lekker. Laatste uitslag maar snel vergeten, vooral Gang Starr zo nipt eruit is pijnlijk.

Opvallend dat 1 ervan, Simon & Garfunkel, slechts ternauwernood het vege lijf weet te redden via de afvallerslijst. Daarnaast komen Michael Jackson, Archive (flinke sprong) en Talking Heads rechtstreeks de top 400 binnen en doet Miles Davis dat ook via de afvallerslijst.
De dagelijkse volger weet al wat dit betekent, de nrs 8 en 9 gaan door, dus impact op de virtuele scheidslijn, die gaat weer omhoog en dat gaat voorlopig ten koste van Radiohead - Karma Police.

Een ladder met impact weer. Laten we starten met de top 400 nummers van vorig jaar die nu daaruit gaan wegvallen, dat zijn er 3 t.w. The Undertones, Stevie Wonder en The Breeders, de laatstgenoemde gaan de grootste val maken.
Wat krijgen we daarvoor terug. Als rechtstreeks geplaatsen sowieso al PJ Harvey en DJ Shadow die dit jaar terug de top 400 inkomen. Maar dat lukt ook voor Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood en Porcupine Tree want beide acts scoren hoog genoeg om zich heel makkelijk via de afvallerslijst te gaan plaatsen.
2 afvallers door betekent weer impact op de virtuele scheidslijn, die gaat dus weer omhoog en dus belanden The Killers terug onder de streep.
Het lijkt me stug dat er in de laatste ladder 3 nummers hoger gaan scoren maar je weet het nooit dus benoem ik nog de eerste 2 nummers boven de virtuele scheidslijn

En scoort ook de nummer 9 nog eens heel hoog dan vliegt ook Cloud Nothings er alsnog uit. En als ook de nummer 10 nog eens hoog scoort dan valt ook voor Visage het doek.
