Hearts is wel gegroeid hier, doet me grappig genoeg denken aan de breakdown in de legendarische remix die Four Tet maakte voor Eric Prydz's Opus. Ik ben wel een beetje salty trouwens dat Pearls al vroeg werd uitgeschakeld, terwijl het veel mindere Begin Again het hier tot de finale schopt.

Moeilijk moeilijk, de dance verlies het daardoor. ascendant vierge is erg verslavend maar mist toch wat body voor een echte Song van het Jaar. Four Tet is mooi, maar dit nummer is me net te Moby. Sofia Kourtesis en Courtesy ook prima, maar te weinig replaywaarde. Jessie Ware haalt het ook net niet. Killer Mike & EL-P en BC,NR zijn leuk, maar hebben echt veel beter dan dit.

Geen al te beste finale, maar mijn nummer 1 is niet minder dan fantastisch! Cut en FaceTime zijn fijne nummers, Madres is enorm gegroeid en Up Song begint al als vintage BCNR te klinken. Daarna volgen nog enkele aardige nummers (inderdaad Moby Four Tet) , maar worden de liedjes ook allengs inwisselbaarder. Toch jammer dat diverse toppers niet de finale wisten te halen, zoals El Michels Affair (2x).

Heel erg fijne finale, veel variatie ook. James Brandon Lewis wist me enkele jaren geleden helemaal voor zich te winnen met Jesup Wagon, dit nummer laat ook het allerbeste vermoeden. De track van Peggy x Danny blijft maar beter worden, intens bak ook van Chat Pile. Enkel Jessie Ware doet me niet zo bijster veel hier, maar nog steeds een prima nummer.

Vooral dit ja. Een gotspe is het. Onbegrijpelijk. Glorious Game met afstand dé song van deze maand, met de vingers in de neus zelfs.
