Heb een paar keer heel goed gezocht, maar niet een knock-out gevonden die post-rock albums heeft behandeld. Nou weet ik niet welke aantallen post-rock albums de ronde doen, wat voor aantallen er gehaald kunnen worden, maar ik zou best deze KO willen organiseren als het lukt. Eerst maar kijken of er genoeg amine voor is.

Ik weet dat Post-Rock een rekbaar begrip is en dat de discussie wat nu wel en niet Post-Rock is al heel vaak is gevoerd. Maar Yo La Tengo en Seam? Da's gewoon indierock (mooie platen, dat wel).

Ik begrijp je twijfels, Maarten. Ik vind van de YLT-platen Painful een plaat die gerust onder postrock geschaard kan worden, Seam zit m.i. behoorlijk dicht tegen Slint aan.

Ik vind het prima als ze in de KO meedoen hoor, maar ik stoor me wel eens aan wat er allemaal onder postrock wordt geschaard. Juno heb ik ook zo mijn twijfels bij. En ik behoor tot één van de zes mensen op deze wereld die Spiderland geen postrockplaat vinden (wel van invloed op).

Persoonlijk vind ik een minimum aantal stemmen van 20 wel wat streng.

Ik zie niet in waarom een plaat niet met terugwerkende kracht tot een genre gerekend kan worden, waarop hij grote invloed heeft uitgeoefend.

Ja, zo kun je The Beatles ook progrock noemen, Velvet Underground punk en Kraftwerk techno...

De twee laatste Talk Talk-albums zou ik toch ook echt post-rock noemen hoor.
