Ik ben weer eens terug op Mume, vooral omdat ik aan de finale van dit topic zat te denken. Wat een timing hé

Zeer veel dank aan de inzet van Erminio in dit leukste topic van de hele site.

Dan zijn we nu toegekomen aan de aftrap voor de finale.

Begin dit jaar zijn we van start gegaan met 2560 nummers welke gingen strijden voor de MuMeLadder 2009 - Top 2000, ons alternatief voor de Radio 2 Top 2000.
Vele stemrondes later zijn er nog 32 nummers in de race die meestrijden om de nummer 1 positie van deze top 2000.

De 32 nummers zijn uiteindelijk verdeeld over 21 artiesten.

Joy Division is tot nu toe de grote winnaar door met maar liefst 4 nummers door te dringen tot de finale, dat is nog niet eerder gebeurd....maar wie weet blijkt de verdeeldheid vd fans over die nummers juist de valkuil voor het echte succes te zijn.

Ook the Velvet Underground is sterk vertegenwoordigd met 3 nummers waaronder de nummer 2 van vorig jaar Venus in Furs. Maar toen was dat ook het enige VU nummer in de finale...was dat ook een voordeel.

Verrassend genoeg hebben ook the Pixies 3 nummers in de finale, 1 meer dan andere jaren. Maar in de voorgaande edities hebben ze in de finale nooit een rol van betekenis kunnen spelen en eindigden ze altijd in de achterhoede. Zal daar dit jaar verandering in komen?

The Cure levert 2 nummers af waaronder de winnaar van vorig jaar, A Forest. Zal dit nummer dit jaar wederom tot nummer 1 gekroond worden?

Ook Kate Bush heeft 2 nummers in de finale, Cloudbusting is er voor de eerste keer bij en natuurlijk Wuthering Heights, normaal goed voor een hoge eindnotering maar dat dit jaar pas via de laatste herkansing zich wist te plaatsen.

The Doors zijn traditiegetrouw met Riders on the Storm en The End geplaatst. The End was in 2007 nog winnaar maar kon vorig jaar geen potten breken in de finale. En dit jaar ontliepen ze ook maar ternauwernood de herkansing.

Ook the Smiths zijn wederom met de 2 zelfde nummers vertegenwoordigd waarvan There's a LIght That Never Goes Out vorig jaar net de top 5 miste.

De rest zijn eenlingen waarbij een aantal vaste vertegenwoordigers zitten en een aantal nieuwkomers in de finale, zoals dEUS, Japan, New Order, Pearl Jam en Talking Heads. Wat kunnen we hiervan verwachten.


De procedure voor de finale is heel eenvoudig maar desondanks o zo moeilijk.
De enige opdracht is: Maak van de 32 overgebleven nummers je eigen Top 32 en stuur die in een PM naar mij toe.
Dus niet je lijst posten in het topic.

Alle inzendingen moeten uiterlijk vrijdag 18 december om 17.00u bij mij binnen zijn. Later op de avond begin ik dan de uitslag te posten en op zondagavond 20 december wordt de nummer 1 bekend gemaakt.

De puntenverdeling die gekoppeld is aan die persoonlijke lijstjes is ook heel eenvoudig. Jouw nummer 1 krijgt 32 punten, jouw nummer 32 krijgt 1 punt.
Vorig jaar mocht ik 80 eindlijstjes ontvangen, het streven is natuurlijk om dit aantal te overtreffen.

In lijn met de vorige rondes begint de finale ronde weer met een startladder die evenzwaar telt als ieder individueel lijstje van jullie.
Aangezien de nummers die afvallen steeds hun plaats in de eindrangschikking krijgen obv een gemiddeld stempercentage van alle 7 rondes die ze gespeeld hebben (waarbij de laatste ronde het hoogste gewicht krijgt en de eerste ronde het laagste gewicht), doe ik dat voor de finale ook (ook in lijn met wat vorig jaar in de eindronde met de top 32 gebeurde).

Genoeg geluld, hier zijn de 32 finalisten waar het allemaal om te doen is. Ik heb ze op alfabetische volgorde gezet en voorzien van een youtube link zodat eenieder ze nog eens op z'n gemak kan beluisteren.

De top 32 duurt in totaal bijna 3 uur. Daar ga ik van de week eens even rustig voor zitten zodat ik ze allemaal nog eens op mijn gemak kan beluisteren. Heb er nu al zin in.

Echt service, dat die 32 nummers via You tube nog even kunnen worden afgeluisterd.

Ik zal toegeven, niet alles te hebben uit de top 32. Maar alles moet wel een keer nog gehoord zijn, voordat ik een lijstje maak.

Hier moet je niet te lang over nadenken: gewoon snel afgaan op je gevoel en er dan niet meer naar kijken (het blijft toch erg moeilijk).
Bovendien ken ik alle nummers toch door en door.............

Ik ga er later deze week ook goed voor zitten en alle 32 nummers nog eens beluisteren.

Vind het wel mooi om te zien dat we elk jaar toch weer op ongeveer dezelfde nummers uitkomen. Dat geeft de lijst toch wel een hoop meerwaarde.

De al gepubliceerde lijst 2000-33 is ook erg prachtig. Ook daar ga ik eens een tijdje aan zitten.

Ik ben de 2009 lijst inmiddels al weer rustig aan in volgorde helemaal aan het beluisteren en ook in de onderste regionen staan inderdaad weer een heleboel erg mooie, soms bijna vergeten, juweeltjes.

De lijst heeft mijn muziekkennis en smaak toch wel significant verrijkt de afgelopen jaren.

Jammer dat de mooiste nummers er alweer uit liggen, t/m de top32 is het in elk geval zo nu en dan erg fraai wat ik zie voorbij komen.. de uiteindelijke 32 doen daar een beetje afbreuk aan, maar ik zal aan mijn kant mijn best doen er nog iets van te maken.

Welke nummers hebben nu niet de laatste 32 gehaald, die het vorig jaar wel redden.

Verder de finale dit jaar gewoon veel te eenduidig. Veel te weinig verschillend artiesten (meer dan 2x dezelfde moet eigenlijk niet kunnen), te veel wave en 80's, waar zijn Pink Floyd, Beatles, Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin en alle andere grote artiesten uit de 60's, 70's, 90's en 00's?
