Ik pak zo de trein richting Tilburg voor een weekend lang fantastische muziek op Best Kept Secret Festival, vandaar dat mijn top- en tiplijst vandaag al komen. Holden blijft uiteraard op 1, zijn album overtreft alle verwachtingen. De top-10 blijft verder aardig in stand, het is dan ook pas vier dagen later dan mijn vorige hitlijst. Todd Terje en Jagwar Ma halen net niet de top-10 in hun eerste week. You & Me staat er ondertussen al acht weken in, maar nu slechts op de 20e plek. En dan wordt het nu feesten in Safaripark Beekse Bergen! Dansen! Koude pintjes drinken! Iedereen een hoedje op!

Maar liefst 11 nieuwe binnenkomers deze week. De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig lijkt wel haast gecontracteerd te zijn door het DFA label. Heerlijke sound. Voor het eerst dit jaar dat een hip hop productie de hoogste positie in mijn lijst weet in te nemen.

Verder scoort Haerts ook zeer goed. De eerste artiest dit jaar die met 2 singles tegelijkertijd in mijn top 10 staat. All The Days sloeg deze zwoele week in als een bom en Wings ontpopt zich als een typische laatbloeier. De nieuwe single van de Fuck Buttons stagneert, echter eer de volledige versie van dit nummer op gaat duiken zie ik dit nummer gemakkelijk naar mijn top 10 doorstootten.

Ik heb mijn zomerhit gevonden met Riptide van Vance Joy. Fijn nummer! Mikal Cronin kwam hier al eens voorbij maar nog niet met Change, wat klinkt als het werk van Foo Fighters op hun eerste album. NIEUW:
- Daughter komt binnen op 1. Beetje rigoureus? Zeker. Ik ken het nummer echter al een poosje en afgelopen week is er eindelijk een clip verschenen. Het nummer heeft sentimentele waarde voor me. Iets met een meisje enzo.
- Arctic Monkeys stormt de top 10 binnen. Een band die ik al 8 jaar (holy shit?) volg. Afgelopen weekend heb ik ze eindelijk voor het eerst live gezien op Best Kept Secret. Mijn jeugd voelt compleet.
- Solange: het onbekendere zusje van Beyonce dat eigenlijk veel meer aandacht verdient. Leuke feature van Kendrick ook weer.
- Melody’s Echo Chamber: welkom in de fuzz hemel. Afgelopen weekend ook live gezien. Wat een vrouwmens! (check de clip)
- Temples: fijne psychedelische rock a la Tame Impala. Afgelopen weekend ook live goedgekeurd.
