Hopelijk ga ik niet het hele jaar door met mijn lijst elke keer 5 songs langer te maken, maar het was echt niet houdbaar, al dat moois dat altijd in de aanbieding is.

Nieuw:
Fountain: Compleet onverwacht is er een nieuw single van de geweldige Iamamiwhoami. Redelijk episch gevoel krijg ik bij deze song. Zal, als er geen verrassingen komen, nog een tijd een sterk fort vormen op nummer 1 & 2 met Stay Happy There.
Hylas: Sowieso fan van alles wat hij tot nu toe heeft uitgebracht. Een van de toppers voor mij voor 2014 zit er weer boenk op.
Prague: White Sea, ofte Morgan Kibby, is voornamelijk bekend als zangeres bij M83. Ook solo maakt ze soortgelijke electropop, die op het eerste gehoor al verrassender en straffer is dan volledig Hurry Up, We're Dreaming
Can't Get Enough: Ik poste ze hier al eens ter ontdekking. Lang geleden dat ik op zoiets leuk heb kunnen dansen.
Nitrous: Vooral het gebruik van die sample in een "typisch singer/songwriter"-nummer doet het hem voor mij
Majestät: Heerlijk instrumentaaltje, lekker relax

• Run the Jewels komt ontzettend hoog binnen en bestormt direct het podium. Ik heb even overwogen om ze op 1 te zetten, maar daarvoor blijft Spiral toch nog net even te lekker.
• Acht dames komen deze week mijn lijst binnen: vier van Warpaint en vier van Dum Dum Girls. Hun vorige singles wisten geen potten te breken, de nieuwe Dum Dum Girls doet dat alvast wel.
• Voormalig nummer 1 Collider verlaat stilletjes mijn lijst na er slechts vier weken in gestaan te hebben. Toch wel een trieste afgang, maar ik ben het nummer gewoon beu.

- Bishop Nehru: een jonge, frisse rapper op een Disclosure-hiphopbeat. This is fucking awesome (i.t.t. Macklemore).
- Offsite: mellow, laidback postmoderne hiphop door een blanke man met lang haar en een baard.
- Phantogram: een nummer dat ik iedereen (vooral stoepkrijt & DjFrankie) zou aanbevelen buiten mezelf. Vreemd genoeg vind ik het wel iets hebben. Apart rocknummer met wat elektronische invloeden en een bekoorlijke vrouwenstem.
- Audio Push: "Tis the season to be ballin' for no reason. Fuck you, I'm not responsible" + een harde beat = lekker nummer.
- Rainy Milo: R&B as it should be. Prachtige stem heeft die vrouw trouwens.
- Talib Kweli etc.: Tof nummer van 3 bekende namen uit de hiphopwereld.

Nog andere tipjes:
*Kaytronik - I Got It Bad: voor de synth house-liefhebbers.
*Holly Herndon - Chorus: voor de Julia Holter-liefhebbers. Offbeat met een tintje klassiek.
*Drenge - Fuckabout: een garagerockduo dat er plezierig op los beukt.
*Bishop Nehru - Mobb Dizzle: nog een Bishop Nehru-nummer dat meer naar classic hip-hop neigt. You Stressin' vind ik wel duidelijk beter.

Verder nog geluisterd naar de nieuwe Bibio & Cloud Nothings maar die maakten geen onuitwisbare indruk.

Vijf nieuwe ontdekkingen en zeker geen onaardige binnenkomers. Ibrahim Maalouf zou ik willen complimenteren omdat hij een niet zo'n alledaags instrument, de trompet, op deze wijze zo populair weet te maken. Prima nummer.

Geldt ook voor Nothing, had ik ook nog nooit van gehoord, en Lost Trees. De Pixies en Elbow hebben voor mij wat aantrekkelijker nummers dan de vorige.
