Twee maal Placebo en tweemaal Foster The People in de Top 10. Dat komt toch niet vaak voor, een dergelijke statistiek.

Pseudologia fantastica is de nieuwe, ijzersterke single van Foster The People, goed gevonden door Ranboy. Net even iets lichter bevonden (nog) dan de nieuwe van The Strypes. Maar ik geloof niet, dat daar iemand hier op zit te wachten. Net zo min als op een nieuwe rocker van de oudjes Johnson en Daltrey (misschien schelen zij met de Strypes wel 50 jaar!)

Toch is het prima muziek.

De ontdekkingen kwamen deze week van Noah Gunderson en de Brave Black Sea. Even nieuw, dus wennen. Maar toch ook sterke nummers.

Het is maar goed dat je me nog even getagd hebt, zodat ik het bericht nog een keer heb gelezen. Ik had namelijk per ongeluk Coves geluisterd in plaats van Client. Ik vond al dat het erg weinig met CHVRCHES te maken had
Dat nummer van Coves is niet echt mijn stijl, te psychedelisch/shoegaze, maar toch beviel het best goed. Die staat alvast in mijn tiplijst.

Morgen zal ik Client eens luisteren. Net als de nieuwe Eagulls. Hopelijk ligt die meer in de lijn van hun eerste single, want de tweede vond ik een beetje bleu.

Coves is 60's net als Temples, Unknown Orchestra, Foxygen etc, alleen met een zangeres, idd totaal andere stijl als Chvrches. Client lijkt me wel jouw ding

Ik zag het staan tussen de nieuwe releases op www.ultratop.be, zal denk ik ook wel voor Nederland gelden.

Muzikaal niet verkeerd, maar die zang trek ik niet hoor. Wat een klef gedoe.

Dan hoor ik liever Eagulls, Intergalactic Lovers of Coves. Heb ik toch nog wat van je opgepikt

Een verzameling singles die mijn lijst net niet gehaald hebben of er net uit zijn verdwenen. SOHN heeft eindelijk de weg naar de top van mijn tiplijst gevonden. Arthur Beatrice, First Aid Kit, Atmosphere en Linus Young maken de bovenste regionen compleet.

Dit was voorlopig mijn laatste hitlijst. Hoe leuk het ook is om elke week op zoek te gaan naar nieuwe singles, hoe leuk het ook is om tips uit andermans lijstjes te plukken en hoe leuk het ook is om je eigen tips in andere lijstjes terug te vinden, dit topic kost tijd. Te veel tijd. Ik moet elke week zorgvuldig plannen wanneer ik tijd heb om aan mijn lijst te werken en dat is natuurlijk geen goed teken. MuMe is er voor ons plezier en dat moet ook zo blijven.

Jammer Koen, maar de overweging is begrijpelijk. Het is ook tijdrovend inderdaad. Zal je lijstje wel missen, hield altijd wel in de gaten wat je er in had staan omdat er wel een overlap is qua smaak voor mijn gevoel. Hopelijk vind je weer eens de tijd en het plezier.

Idd Koen dat is erg belangrijk, als er echt iets voorbij komt dat je moet kennen krijg je wel een pm.

Tip van de week:
Ibibio Sound Machine. Band met Nigeriaans-Britse zangeres, de muziek is een mix van "West African highlife, disco, post-punk & psychedelic electro soul". Het doet mij wel denken aan de mutant disco/post-punk uit NY van begin jaren '80, denk dat kemm en jassn dit ook wel leuk zouden moeten kunnen vinden. De vorige single is nog beter, denk dat ik die volgende week ook maar binnen laat komen.

Spijtig Koen, maar oh zo begrijpelijk. Ik zit ook vaak tegen deze lijst aan te hikken, en ik wil persé ook alle nieuwe binnenkomers uit elk lijstje van de andere users beluisterd hebben. Maar dat kost (te veel?) tijd. Vandaar dat ik al met een aantal andere topics (waar ik doorgaans te vinden was) ben gestopt. - Edge Of Now: Een nieuwe Irrepresibles waarbij Jamie zijn stem weer wordt ondersteund door lekkere elektronica. Natuurlijk binnen op 1!
- When The People Cheer: Ook The Roots doen wat we van hen gewoon zijn, een mooie rapsong maken.
- Eleanor Lye: Voor humo was vooral de zeker niet misse clip memorabel; voor mij toch vooral de prachtige dromerige electropop.
- Fall In Love (Until The Ribbon Breaks Re-imagination): Until The Ribon Breaks doet het opnieuw. Weer zo'n prachtige re-imagination.
- Repeat Pleasure: Als grote fan van zulke "indie-Rn'B", vroeg ik mij al af waarom How To Dress Well bij niet binnen geraakte met de vorige. Deze overtuigt gelukkig wel.
