Wel grappig, Give It to Me en Say It Right zijn fantastische Timbaland-producties, en The Way I Are ook erg tof, maar Apologize is dan weer drie keer niks.

Overigens vond ik toentertijd juist The Way I Are fantastisch, die draaide ik grijs. Give It to Me vond ik daarentegen te moelijk of te apart ofzo.

Foundations heb ik ook grijsgedraaid, heerlijk liedje, al had ik toen geen idee dat dat in Engeland zo'n enorme hit was.

James Blunt komt trouwens eindelijk eens met een goed liedje. Mag ik nog altijd graag horen.

Foundations stond wekenlang op 2 in Engeland.
Tussen al die snel stijgende en dalende hits een rustpunt in de charts van 2007.

Hoe heeft Leona het tot de finale geschopt als niemand haar punten geeft

19 goeie nummers. Say It Right en No One vind ik zo fantastisch dat ik overweeg ze te nomineren voor de MuMeLadder. Ik geloof dat Alicia Keys (wel met Jay-Z misschien) en Nelly Furtado daar niet instaan, zou niet verkeerd zijn om die leemte op te vullen.

Na de afgelopen beroerde 'jaren' is dit wel een hele welkome afwisseling. Goede lijst met geen enkel echt slecht nummer. Tussen het Timbaland geweld bovenin staat Ruby als de vreemde eend in de bijt. Fijn nummer blijft dat toch, grijsgedraaid of niet.

Wel grappig is dat, ik was ten tijde van het debuutalbum behoorlijk fan van de Kaiser Chiefs. Met het tweede album was dat ook meteen weer helemaal voorbij. Ruby heb ik ook nooit wat aangevonden, maar toch werd dat de grote doorbraak in Nederland.

Opvallend dat Say It Right zo goed scoort, nooit veel aangevonden. I.t.t. Maneater, Promiscuous en The Way I Are van Timbaland zelf.

Opvallend dat je Give It to Me ook niks aan vindt. Vind ik juist een heerlijk nummer van Timbaland, evenals Say It Right. In 2007 was The Way I Are mijn favoriet, maar die heeft de tand des tijds toch minder goed doorstaan.

Ik weet nog dat ik het toentertijd vooral vanwege de tekst een mooi nummer vond. Echt ongelofelijk veel gedraaid, luisterde toen nog voornamelijk naar radiopop. Nu blijft er muzikaal een weinig bijzonder deuntje over, maar de tekst vind ik nog altijd prima.
