Allen bedankt voor het meestemmen en/of het insturen van een finalelijstje. Ik heb zojuist de top 16 terug beluisterd en, ondanks dat het redelijk eenzijdig is, ben tot de conclusie gekomen dat ik dit een zeer sterke editie vind. Ook bij de nummers 17 t/m 40 staat nog genoeg finale waardig materiaal: Duran Duran, Seven Wonders, Red Box.

Overmorgen start 1988. Een hitparadejaar zonder topfavoriet, denk ik. Voor de voetballiefhebbers wel een memorabel jaar. Dat gaan we zeker terug zien en -voor wie dat wil- terug horen.

Prachtig hitjaar inderdaad, 1987. In de uiteindelijke top 40 slechts een handvol draken en voor de rest alleen maar classics.

Benieuwd of 1988 in de buurt kan komen, ik vrees van niet.

Kijken of PSB weer zo goed gaat scoren, weer een paar zeer succesvolle singles in ieder geval.

Tears run Rings, Never Tear Us Apart, Blue Monday 88, Always on my Mind, Beds Are Burning, Fragile, Somewhere Down the Crazy River... dat komt wel goed hoor met 88

Prince ook, maar lijken me beiden niet erg kansrijk met Sinéad, Tracy en Tatjana

Toch vallen de PSB me ietwat tegen, zeker It's a Sin.
Ben wel erg content met de "lage" notering van de "saai saai" nummers van Crowded House en het duet van Peter en Kate (sorry John).

En een zeer fraaie eindnotering van een van Prince's mooiste tracks, If I Was Your Girlfriend, dat had ik zeker niet zien aankomen...uberhaupt een finaleplaats al.

Alleen al om Beds Are Burning is 1988 een topjaar

Paddy wederom bedankt voor een fraaie presentatie.

Zo was ik op mijn beurt zeer aangenaam verrast door de hoge positie van Brilliant Disguise; het hoogst genoteerde nummer zonder startlijst punten. Ik kan me voorstellen dat niet Bruce-liefhebbers niet het bijzondere horen in dit nummer.
Gelukkig wisten o.a. Marty McFly, Salvadore, Bucqouy, musicfriek, JohannesA, nelis en Tribal Gathering wel beter.

Jammer genoeg was Johnny Marr net te laat met onderstaande top 10, die volgens mij de einduitslag niet drastisch had veranderd. Bij deze nodig ik je van harte uit om mee te doen met de 1988 editie.
