Vampire Weekend, is dat wat voor mij, Sander?

Dat vind ik moeilijk te bepalen. Voor mij is het de verrassing van het jaar tot dusver. Eigenlijk had ik niets bijzonders met Vampire Weekend, maar Modern Vampires biedt 12 rete-aanstekelijke, intelligente, creatief gemaakte, licht melancholische popliedjes met een groot hart, gemaakt door een band die weet waar ze goed in is, en zich op het hoogtepunt van haar kunnen bevindt. Als dat je aanspreekt, moet je deze plaat zeker gaan horen.

Wacht, ik snap de grap. Wie houdt er nu niet van rete-aanstekelijke, intelligente, creatieve liedjes van een band die zich op z'n hoogtepunt bevindt?
