Het is ook mijn favoriete Doctor: Tom Baker. Maar ik moet wel eerlijk bekennen, ik ken ze niet allemaal. De laatste transformatie is een vrouw en die ken ik al helemaal niet.

Tom Baker zal jeugdsentiment zijn want de serie met Tom werd destijds een paar jaar lang in Nederland uitgezonden. Dr. Who werd mijn favoriete TV-serie van de jaren 70.
Met Star Trek op nummer 2 maar die dateert eigenlijk uit de jaren 60.
Een belangrijke reden voor mijn sympathie is ook dat dr. Who ooit startte op mijn verjaardag. 23 november 1963. En ik startte ooit ook op musicmeter op mijn verjaardag: 23 november 2015.
Dat soort dagen voelen toch altijd als een soort van verandering.

Meestal rond kerstmis zorgde dr. Who voor een soort van regeneratie /transformatie /morfing.
Dan ging die dood en dan werd hij hergeboren net als kindje Jezus.
Hier verandert Dr. Who versie 3.0 in versie 4.0. In Tom Baker dus.

Met nog drie lijstjes hier te gaan ga ik deze week tijdreizen naar een andere tijd. Want ik ken mijzelf, ik heb altijd een voorkeursplek waar ik het liefste wortel.

Ik heb mijn boomavatar veranderd in de beroemde blauwe tijdmachine van dr. Who en ik ga deze plek waar ik van begin af aan zes jaar bij voorkeur heb vertoefd verlaten voor een andere plek.
Maak je geen zorgen Justus18. Er volgen nog twee lijstjes (week 51 en week 52) en ik plant hier nog mijn jaarlijst over 1971.

Wordt het terug in de tijd naar de duistere prehistorie van voor 1950 van zaafs album top 15, duister omdat er nog zoveel licht te brengen is in een tijd dat er nog nauwelijks hitlijsten en albums bestonden?
Of reis ik zes jaar vooruit mijn huidige reisgenoten achterna naar het prachtige discojaar 1978?
Of kies ik voor een wat grotere sprong naar mijn favoriete boomkikker pureshores in mijn meest favoriete jaar uit de jaren 90, 1997?
One of these days, komende week, zal ik het jullie laten weten.

Haha nou 1997 zeker NIET mijn favoriete 90's.
Dat blijven 1990, 1991 en 1998,1999.

Dat komt bij mij voor een groot deel door OK computer.
Ik moet toegeven dat ik behoorlijk MMR (=Musicmeter Middle of the Road) ben.
Maar ook Daft Punk (Around the world with pureshores), The Chemical Brothers, Elliott Smith en The Verve zijn voor mij van grote klasse dat jaar.

Ik heb ook sowieso wel wat met het getal 7. Dat kan te maken hebben met als je mijn verjaardag (2+3+1+1) bij elkaar optelt.
Maar ook: 1927, 1947, 1957 en 1967 zijn de beste jaren van hun decennium. Opvallend is ook dat het vaak vernieuwende jaren waren.
Ook 2007, 1937, 1977 en 1987 zijn bovengemiddeld goed, evenals 1917 en 2017.

Voor 1997 spreekt wel dat commerciële dance de Eurodance de deur uit deed en we twee jaar dat clubby trance geluid krijgen, vooral gevoed door Duitse producers en de Danssalon en andere minder voor de hand hoeken. En Daft Punk dat Frankrijk op de kaart zet. En OK computer al was ik daar toen niet mee bezig.

Als je in zo'n topic als dit woont, dan lijkt het wel alsof vroeger alles beter was. Maar als de huur niet meer te betalen is, dan word je gedwongen te verhuizen. Ik heb al een nieuw onderkomen gevonden en ben dat aan het inrichten. En bij elke verhuizing woon je noodgedwongen een tijdje in 2 huizen. Een hele reeks ex aequo's deze week, waarbij ook de hoogste binnenkomers. Van I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing (In Perfect Harmony) had ik al 2 versies geplaatst. Hierbij de bekendste (nee, dat is niet die van The New Seekers).

Zo zie je maar dat je binnen een week denkt, wat heb ik nou geschreven?

Mijn beide kompanen hier weten met hun nummer 40`s toch even subtiel aan te geven dat ik nog meer favoriete TV-series had in de jaren 70. Vooral All in the family was mij zeer dierbaar.
Ook de Onedin Line vond ik zeer bijzonder met die prachtige tune erbij die helemaal naar een climax toewerkt. We herkennen hierin het thema van de balletmuziek van Spartacus van Khachaturian.

Zo'n lijstje is nietszeggend, omdat het appels met peren vergelijken is. In de ene periode is de concurrentie groter dan de andere. Tegelijk is het veelzeggend. The Who en Led Zeppelin verdelen de hoogste plekken. The Who heeft zelfs 4 nummers in de TOP20 en 5 in de TOP32. De finale van de ladder is veelzijdiger. The Beatles ontbreken (hoogste positie is 90), maar ik ben ook meer een liefhebber van de vroege nummers.
Immigrant Song van Led Zeppelin is de enige single die in 2 jaren mijn TOP100 heeft gehaald (P48 en P98). Het heeft 14 weken in mijn weeklijst gestaan. Dat geldt ook voor de posities 20, 29 en 45 (The Pentangle - Light Flight/Cold Mountain) in de allertijdenlijst. Recordhouder is vanzelfsprekend Corry En De Rekels - Huilen Is Voor Jou Te Laat (P83) met 15 weken.

Mijn top 100 traditiegetrouw sinds 1966 aangevuld met LP-tracks (A) die later of nooit single worden. We gaan door totdat we op 100 singles zitten.
Ook dit jaar is de mooiste plaat van het jaar weer een LP-track. Maar net als andere jaren winnen de singles het van de LP-tracks want er zijn slechts 38 LP-tracks in 1971 die met 100 singles kunnen wedijveren.

Deze allereerste lijst hoeft uiteraard niet de allerlaatste lijst te zijn. Het mooie van dit topic is dat er de komende jaren nog heel wat jaren komen die dan 50 jaar terug zijn met eveneens heel veel singles. Ik wil iedereen danken hier voor alle mooie jaren. Het zijn er inmiddels voor mij ruim 6 geworden.

Helaas zit dat anders in elkaar. Ik heb altijd geleerd dat week 1 de eerste week van het jaar is dat de meerderheid van de dagen (maandag t/m zondag) in dat jaar valt. Derhalve telt 1970 53 weken en zouden hier alle weeknummers met 1 moeten worden verminderd. 1 januari 1972 valt dus in week 52 van 1971.
Ik heb het ook nog maar even in de wiki opgezocht en de aanname van mij klopt.
We kunnen ook simpel stellen dat we hier de Amerikaanse (of Japanse) weeknummering aanhouden. Volgens de wiki begint hun week niet op maandag, maar op zondag, en is de week waarin 1 januari valt per definitie week 1.
In die optiek heeft musician gelijk als hij stelt dat 31-12-1977 in week 53 van 1977 valt en hier valt dan 1-1-1972 in week 1 van 1972.

Mooi dat je musician hier alsnog gelijk geeft.
Ze zouden bij musicmeter mij 24 uur bedenktijd moeten geven dan kan ik zaken nog aanpassen. Nu ben ik weer te laat en heb ik mijn eerste lijstje van 1972 geplaatst. In ieder geval ging dat lijstje ook nog over de laatste 6 dagen van 1971 en die wilde ik hier nog meepakken.

Tsja, hoe doe ik dat?

Ik constateer dat de deadline van dinsdag 18:00 uur is verstreken. Er is 1 lijstje binnen en met een eventueel geprolongeerd lijstje van mijn kant staat de teller op 2. Dat is niet meer genoeg voor een gezamenlijke weeklijst.

Ook mijn dank gaat uit naar oprichter heicro en naar deelnemers Arrie, johan de witt, luigifort, 50tracks, herman, LucM, Martial en natuurlijk Marzipaintree. Met diens woorden sluit ik hier af:
