Bill Withers vond ik iets te oud om nog in mijn top twintig op te nemen anders had ie top drie gescoord. Verder een kleine shout-out naar/voor T.P. Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou, deze Benin boys brachten in de tweede helft van de jaren '70 een aantal uitstekende singles uit. Zeker iets voor liefhebbers van de afro-funk van bijvoorbeeld Fela Kuti.

Ik ben blij dat hij niet vergeten is. Geen tijd om bij te luisteren, dus slechts 17 (seventeen) gegadigden. Wel vergeten de zingende zusjes, het Verbond, en John Cale.

Komende editie Habibi funk uit Tunesië bovenaan mijn lijstje. Verder nog Blaxploitation/ Samba uit Brazilië in de top drie, Afro funk uit Benin in de top tien en een Funky Bump uit Italië op plek dertien. Samen met de goed vertegenwoordigde Amerikanen/ Engelsen toch een aardig internationaal gezelschap.

"Geen" is wel overdreven. Die walkers staan in meerdere lijstjes en bij de tweeling zelfs bovenaan. De doobies heb ik ook nog ergens gezien en tja, Steve Hackett had ik eigenlijk wel dichtbij of in mijn top20 kunnen zetten . Heb het nummer zelfs in mijn jaarlijst staan maar toch niet overwogen... teveel keus waarschijnlijk

Ik vroeg me al af of er nog iemand Flour Power in zijn lijst zou hebben en jawel hoor. Bij jou staat al die dub zelfs nog hoger dan bij mij. Heerlijke muziek.

Hier ook een internationaal gezelschap. Ik heb zelfs een nummer uit Skopje.

Mijn lijstje van 1976 bevat 17 unieke acts waarvan 1 nederlands, 1 frans, 1 australisch, 1 iers, 1 canadees (hoewel de meningen daarover verdeeld lijken) en de rest uk/usa.
Van de 20 zijn er minimaal 9 met damesleadzang (iets met b-kanten en wie zingt wat ook weer)

De Australische band met de Duitser en de Keniaanse/Noord-Ierse Ier, neem ik aan?

Die negeer ik gewoon. Jammer dat je die 'archief' releases er niet uit kan filteren op RYM. Maar de vorige editie haalde Gimme Shelter bijna de top 20, dus er zullen er vast genoeg zijn die Helter Skelter wel in hun lijst zetten.
