Briljante finale, echt alleen Moonlight Shadow vind ik matig (let je op jordidj1?). Wat die hier heeft te zoeken ipv Talking Heads, Michael Jackson of The Waterboys snap ik niet.

Al de rest is zeer goed tot zelfs schuimbekkend geniaal (vooral This Mortal Coil, Cocteau Twins, The The en The Blue Nile). Dat wordt nog een hersenbreker om dit te gaan rangschikken zeg.

Van de nummers 13-20 zou hooguit Beat It zich met de top 5 bemoeid hebben (u2 en peter schilling wel dik top 10). Maar ik heb zo al moeite genoeg te kiezen tussen This Mortal Coil en Prince waarbij de eerste toch wint op gunfactor (4AD) + top 40 single (hoewel in 1984). Qua gunfactor zou Cocteau Twins ook wel op 2 of 1 mogen trouwens maar dan kies ik toch ook liever voor singles.
