Mooie lijst, maar de bovenste 2 zijn ietwat een anticlimax. Horen voor mij niet bij het sterkste dat Prince uitgebracht heeft.

Dan spelen we de komende week Greatest Hits of '50's Rock 'n' Roll!
Helaas geen tijd voor een uitgebreide introductie, aangezien ik zo de deur uit ga voor een kort weekendje weg en waarschijnlijk morgenavond pas weer achter een toetsenbord zit.
Maar is dat nodig? Toen ik in de jaren '90 muziekles kreeg op de middelbare school werd 'Rock Around The Clock' er meteen ingestampt als de essentiële popmuziekklassieker, samen met Bohemian Rhapsody en Dreadlock Holiday. Lijkt me voer voor discussie, later ontdekte ik sowieso veel leukere rock 'n' roll nummers dan RATC en jullie vast ook. En anders is deze week de uitgelezen mogelijkheid tot verdieping.

Alweer een maand of 2 geleden dat ik de startlijst heb gemaakt. Gebaseerd op hoofdgenre rock & roll bij RYM dacht ik en dan kom je Buddy Holly niet tegen (daar staat meestal rockabilly). Maar nomineer hem gerust, dan haalt hij het vast wel.

Geen Fats Domino in de lijst is ook opvallend. Hoe dan ook, leuke editie, hoop dat ik de tijd vind om mee te doen. Aan de lengte van de nummers ligt het niet.

Wat staat Erotic City verrassend laag. Laatste keer met alleen Prince fans dacht ik (hoog?) in de top 10. Misschien omdat het een minder bekende b-side is, dit fantastische Prince nummer?

Alweer een maand of 2 geleden dat ik de startlijst heb gemaakt. Gebaseerd op hoofdgenre rock & roll bij RYM dacht ik en dan kom je Buddy Holly niet tegen (daar staat meestal rockabilly). Maar nomineer hem gerust, dan haalt hij het vast wel.

Poeh Herman, wat een bijna onmogelijk (maar wel hele leuke) taak om maar 10 liedjes toe te voegen. Ik zou er ook tot 100 komen. Ik ga voor deze 10, maar het hadden er veel meer kunnen zijn. Leuk!
