Deze van Pulp bij mij op 6, Lorde op 20.
Niet zo bijzonder: de top 3 van Ries staat bij mij helemaal niet in de top 25

Ik heb nog de nummers 1, 2, 16, 19, 23, 24 in de aanbieding. Nummer 24 zal wel niet meer komen (ken hetzelf niet eens meer eigenlijk), de rest misschien nog wel?

Elk jaar opnieuw lees ik wel ergens het foute vooroordeel dat De Alternatieve Hitlijst alleen maar mannen-bandjes met gitaren zijn. Euh ... say what? Deze lijst al eens goed bekeken? Vrouwen in overvloed, net als alles-behalve-gitaarplaten. De #1 van voskat op 12 bijvoorbeeld. En eerlijk, deze TOP 100 zou een verdomd goede en redelijk gevarieerde radio-uitzending opleveren, no doubt!

En daar komt met Blood Orange mijn nummer twee langs. Mooie notering!

Ik wacht nog op mijn nummers 3, 4, 7, 10, 15 en 20. Erg fijn verloop van de finale tot nu toe.

Deze van Hiqpy bij mij op 19.

TOP 10! We zullen langzaam maar zeker grotere sprongen beginnen maken wat de punten betreft. Wet Leg, 3 nominaties, zien we voor de tweede maal. In het vorige groepje zagen we Hiqpy, eveneens 3 nominaties, ook voor de tweede maal. En de 2 resterende JOKERS staan dus sowiezo al hoger dan positie 8. Nog flink wat #1-posities te gaan ook. De tweede en laatste nominatie van IST IST op 9, Fonteintjes scoren traditiegetrouw ook weer goed op 8.

Wet Leg mijn nummer 23, Ist Ist nummer 16. Daarmee komt alleen mijn top 2 nog wat ook zomaar de top 2 van de hele finale zou kunnen zijn (in willekeurige volgorde).

Zilver voor de straf scorende 🃏 JOKER van chartsmaster op 6, waarbij sterke steun van Eigenwijze 30 en EvilDrSmith, 't is hun #1. Ons Rosalieke komt volgende week weer binnen in de 2026-editie, benieuwd of ze het al dan niet gaat halen.

"Jaja, allemaal goed en wel, maar kijk naar ons!" schreeuwen Finn en Spul trots. Hun gedeelde topfavoriet staat nog één plaats hoger, op 5!

Mijn nummer 4, 8, 20, 23 en 24 zijn nog niet voorbij gekomen. Ik verwacht eigenlijk alleen nummer 4 (die zal zeker nog komen) en 20 nog. De rest zal het niet gehaald hebben. Anders is mijn nummer 5, Archive - Look At Us, de hoogst genoteerde in de eindlijst.

Laten we het grote geheim van de TOP 4 verder ontrafelen: JoaMuse scoort goud met een 🃏 JOKER van -hoe kan het ook anders- Muse! Niet hun beste totaalscore ooit, die behoort nog steeds Won't Stand Down toe, maar wel hun hoogst behaalde positie tot nu toe. Nice! Pulp, twee keer genomineerd, piekt met Spike Island op 3, ze halen brons in de TOP 100!

Oh ik had Pulp wel minstens 1 plek hoger verwacht, bij mij op 2.

Die esteban needs some well deserved shut-eye en gaat het zodoende niet langer rekken. Het definitieve einde, een totaaloverzicht met ook de nummers die we niet voorbij zagen komen, krijgen jullie morgen.

Rest nu nog maar één vraag. Ready?

Zwammer heeft volop ingezet op het wonderpaard, het is zijn nummer één, maar het prachtige beest trekt dan toch niet aan het langste touw. Al verdient het ontegensprekelijk een denderend applaus voor deze prestatie, op 2 zowaar! Doe het hen maar na...

Zelf ben ik misschien nog niet helemaal mee, maar ze moeten wel IETS ongelooflijk juist doen, want met een indrukwekkende voorsprong van 101 punten en een monsterscore van 262 punten, wint Hiqpy de muzikale race van 2025! Ze kwamen in maar liefst 14 lijstjes voor en stonden het vaakst aan de top. Chapeau! There's something about Hiqpy, that's for sure. Of zoals ze 't zelf zeggen: 'What if Kurt Cobain and Ariana Grande had a Pokémon together?' chartsmaster, DjFrankie en ranja kennen het antwoord, het was hun #1.

Terechte winnares, ja, daar kan ik wel wat mee. Erg fijn liedje. Mooi dat ze heeft gewonnen!
Echter, Wunderhorse op #2? Wat een gekkigheid. Die belandde bij mij op een gedeelde 64e-85e plek met een 6,5.
Die van Pulp vond ik ook niet heel bijzonder, gedeeld 57e.
Muse belandde bij mij nét buiten de Top 25 met een gedeeld 27e plaats.
En dat zelfs 'It's Amazing To Be Young' de top 10 haalde, is helemaal amazing. Die eindigde bij mij op een gedeeld 114e plek. Die band was nog niet zo lang geleden zó goed, maar daar is niks meer van over.
De bedoeling van die jokers heb ik trouwens even gemist.

En waar is Dirty Blonde gebleven? Zijn ze van het schaakbord afgemept?

Heartworms kende ik nog niet voor ik de finalelijst beluisterde en haalt twee maal mijn top 25. Een naam om te onthouden dus, ik ga hun album van 2025 eens checken.

Beste vrienden van De Alternatieve Hitlijst,

Met een overdonderende score hebben jullie samen beslist dat Something van Hiqpy dé alternatieve hit van het jaar 2025 is. Knap!

Dat het nummer een niet in te halen voorsprong nam, werd al vrij snel duidelijk. Toch werd het ook achter de schermen spannend. Helaas kan ik dat nooit met jullie delen tijdens de eenzame taak die de puntentelling is, die is immers geheim. Bij deze:

Zou Hiqpy het absolute record van Placebo breken? Die band haalde in 2021 namelijk een uiterst indrukwekkende 263 punten met Beautiful James. Even leek het gaan te gebeuren, maar Hiqpy kwam (slechts) één punt te kort om dit te evenaren en twee punten om er voorbij te raken. Voorlopig blijft Placebo aan de TOP van alle edities staan, maar Hiqpy is vanaf nu de opvolger in dat lijstje.

Enfin - Waar is die derde Wet Leg gebleven? En andere favorieten? Dat komen jullie te weten in dit finale overzicht.

Bij deze wil ik iedereen nog eens bedanken die in 2025 wekelijks of sporadisch mee bepaald heeft welke nummers door gingen naar de finale keuzelijst. En uiteraard een welgemeende merci aan de 19 deelnemers die een TOP 25 in elkaar knutselden en instuurden. Dat hebben jullie weer goed gedaan.

Hopelijk zie ik jullie allemaal (en misschien enkele verloren zonen of dochters) terug in 2027 voor de TOP 100 van 2026.

De eerste drie singles kwamen bij release wel op mijn radar en werden best goed bevonden, maar het duurde toch ook tot de vierde worp (Shy Girl) alvorens de vonk definitief oversloeg. De opvolgers zaten één voor één raak. (Sophie, Freaks, Dance The Pain Away) Van de nieuwe single al stukjes gehoord en het full-album komt er nu heel snel aan, zeer benieuwd.


De 10 trouwste wekelijkse deelnemers door het jaar heen, mochten bij wijze van dank elk één joker inzetten. Die is te kiezen uit de nummers die wel meegedaan hebben, maar de finale selectie niet haalden. Zo gaan we dus van 120 finalisten (10 per maand) naar 130 in de finale. Die 130 nummers maken dus kans om in de TOP 100 te eindigen.


Fijn om te lezen. Dat is voor mij nog het leukste aspect aan dit gebeuren. Tijdens het binnen krijgen van de lijstjes werd verschillende malen door stemmers meegegeven dat ze best wat goede muziek of nieuwe bands ontdekt hadden. Kijk, oa daar doen we 't voor.

Ik geloof dat je de titel van dat Muse nummer vergeten bent erbij te zetten!
