Mwa, ik heb juist het idee dat ik een van de weinige ben die in deze topics obscuur werk nomineer, dat er vervolgens vaak in de 1e ronde al uit ligt tegen al die kazige top 40 hits...

Ja, dat is dan ook weer frustrerend. Vooral als je het idee krijgt dat er niet eens of nauwelijks geluisterd is naar de meer obscure nominatie.

Misschien moet je de boel opsplitsen in drie groepen: A. top 40 singles, B. niet-top 40 singles, C. album tracks. En dan is het misschien ook wel eerlijker om ladders te gebruiken in plaats van een KO. Misschien iets voor een alternatieve serie draadjes?

Op zich wel leuke opzet, maar wel veel regelwerk. Mss idd iets voor als we klaar zijn met deze serie (en daar hebben we op zich nog 28 jaar voor de boeg )

Ach meestal is het mengeling van en dat werkt altijd wel goed toch? Er staan nu wel wat lp tracks in (o.a. Depeche mode, Rush, Marillion, Metallica en Waterboys) maar dat zijn over het algemeen wel artiesten die op MuMe een redelijke fanbase hebben. Uiteindelijk zie je die nummers in kwartfinale meestal al niet meer terug.

Ik heb een paar rariteiten toegevoegd. Wie kent er nou Twelfth Night, Triumph of die geweldig mooie soloplaat van Steve Perry?!?

De andere kant van het verhaal is natuurlijk ook dat er van sommige artiesten wel vijf nummers in de lijst staan, zodat er geen plaats meer is voor ook maar één nummer van andere artiesten.

De eerste ken ik, die andere 2 niet. Hoop dat Perry solo wat minder over-the-top is dan bij Journey, dan kan ik het mss waarderen

En ik mis dé 1984-act. Van Halen...

Die ontbrekende nummers lijst van remco ...wow er ontbreken nog teveel nummers inderdaad.
Misschien dan toch maar voor de 512 gaan

dat klopt maar dat hou je toch wel. Zo'n beetje de belangrijkste band van 84 was Frankie Goes to Hollywood met 3 nummer 1's en een wereldwijd nummer 1 album. Dan is het ook wel weer een beetje logisch om daarvan dus 4 (in dit geval) nummers te laten meedoen. Wellicht is 512 een betere optie want 1984 kwam met zoveel hit/album kwaliteit dat dit moeilijk te vangen is in 256 tracks.

Level 42 bracht in '84 een album uit waarvan maar weinig hits afkwamen, enkel Hot Water zou er wel in moeten staan. In'de komende '85 editie verwacht ik meer van de band. Van ub40 kan If It Happens Again wel mee doen denk ik.

Of 384 met een herkansingsronde tussen alle verliezers uit de eerste ronde, misschien.
Overigens staan er ook vijf nummers van Dead Can Dance in de lijst, terwijl die nooit ook maar een hit hebben gehad (onterecht natuurlijk).

Ik vind er beide niks aan. Maar het viel me op, dat niemand anders ze heeft aangedragen.

Of het onterecht is of niet van Dead can Dance doet nu niet ter zake want we kunnen het nu rechttrekken als we dat zouden willen, dat is dan weer het mooie van dit spel

Ondervangt ook het probleem van sterke nummers die in de eerste ronde ongelukkig loten tegen andere sterke nummers. Nou ja, dan moeten ze twee keer ongelukkig loten...
