Arcade Fire heeft gemakkelijk de eerste positie met misschien wel het beste materiaal van de band sinds Funeral. De plaat van Touché Amoré is misschien wel degene waar ik het meeste naar uitkijk deze maand, de twee singles zijn in ieder geval geweldig. Chelsea Wolfe heeft me ook weggeblazen met haar album Pain Is Beauty, en de single We Hit A Wall is een van mijn favorieten van het album. De plaat van Arctic Monkeys heb ik al gruwelijk vaak gedraaid.

Ik ben niet van deze planeet.

Heb reflektor van Arcade Fire nu twee keer gehoord: vind er echt héél erg weinig aan. Beetje eentonig. 7 minuten wil nog niet zeggen dat het dan ook beter is. Maar waarschijnlijk heb ik het niet goed begrepen, dat zal het zijn.

Ik vind Reflektor ook ontzettend goed, na het zeer tegenvallende The Suburbs. Ben nu meteen benieuwd naar het nieuwe album, dat kan nog wel eens een meevaller gaan worden!

Ik heb Reflektor de afgelopen 5 dagen al zo'n 40 keer gedraaid, echt een fantastisch nummer. Ook leuk dat er een ravepianootje in zit, maar dat zal Hans wel ontgaan zijn.

Ik moest even wennen, maar ondertussen is het al helemaal goedgekomen tussen Reflektor en mij. Laat dat dubbelalbum maar komen!

Niet de minsten. Maar uiteraard krijg je er dan ook weer wat fraais voor terug. Het kan alleen niet allemaal zo mooi hoog binnen komen als Yuck.

Maar dan heb je ook wel de leukste single van de afgelopen week te pakken. De hippies van de Mowgli's blijven hun best doen, maar de grote groepen liefhebbers van hun muziek moeten nog worden uitgevonden.
Persoonlijk wil ik mij nergens mee bemoeien, maar misschien is een collectief van een man of 8 die allemaal zingen, zoals aan het begin van de nieuwe single wat te duidelijk blijkt, wat aan de overdreven kant.

Maar even verder blijkt hoe aardig er toch ook kan worden gemusiceerd.

Het enige rustpuntje lijkt mij zo op het oog de nieuwe single van Rod Stewart. Positieve kritieken maar ook zijn groep van liefhebbers is al gauw 50+. Helaas.

Het nummer is er niet minder om trouwens, echt aan te bevelen!

Veel nieuwe nummers 1 deze week. (Edit: van niets op 1 bedoel ik) Dat was ook wel te verwachten natuurlijk met de release van Reflektor

Ik krijg waarschijnlijk ook een nieuwe nummer 1. Geen Reflektor overigens.

Reflektor al paar keer gehoord, maar nog niet goed genoeg voor mijn top 20.

En ik dacht dat ik al gek was met m'n 4x per dag, maar herman heeft dus een uur per dag Reflektor opstaan . Een hoogtepunt in het nummer kan ik nog niet benoemen, het is één grote dansbare flow.

Ik draai hem vaak meteen 5, 6 keer achter elkaar. Goed begin van de dag ook. Hetzelfde had ik met Funeral, dat was een paar maanden lang mijn wekker. Vandaag heb ik hem nog niet gedraaid (sowieso geen muziek), maar vanavond komt ie wel weer een keertje langs.

Hier nu ook al meerdere dagen op repeat, is gewoon te verslavend.
