Cut Copy: geweldige midtempo houseplaat met vleugjes acid, een echte Hacienda anno '89 groove. Sun God van hun laatste album lijkt toch wel maatgevend voor de nieuwe richting die ze zijn ingeslagen, deze band wordt alleen maar beter en interessanter. De geweldige Boilerroom-set van een half jaar terug geeft ook wel wat hints en invloeden weg.
Elliott: lijkt erg veel op de dansbaardere nummers van Caribou, maar dan iets poppier nog
Tensnake: mijmerplaatje, niet echt snel, maar het tempo ligt wel hoger dan (bij) 58bpm.
Miles Kane: na een keer of 5 draaien toch wel weer een lekker meebrulbritpopplaatje

Ik dacht ik pik hem even op uit het Song van het Jaar topic, maar het is inderdaad ( nog ) geen single. Mocht niemand anders hem oppikken dan laat ik hem volgende week weer verdwijnen.

Until The Ribbon Breaks op 2 na het ongenaakbare Arcade Fire, konden die nu echt geen week langer wachten met hun nieuwe single?

ps: Until The Ribbon Breaks heeft sinds deze week een EP uit.

De opmars van 2025 doet me goed Jammer dat Reflektor net uit is, waardoor een nummer 1-positie er de komende weken niet in zal zitten.
Ach, Reflektor is natuurlijk ook niet verkeerd.

Bam deze week een album gehoord voor de top 3 van dit jaar, en alhoewel de single al in April is uitgebracht nieuw op 1, man lekker zeg psychedelische krautrock van de Chilenen van Follakzoid.

Ik ben pas de 217e kijker naar deze clip!

Dat is vreemd, ik ben ook de 217e .

Klopt, en dat vind ik schandalig! Ik heb het album al een week (redacteur bij Zware Metalen) en deze track heb ik veel gedraaid. Hele sfeervolle en intense metal.

De briljante singles komen weer met bakken uit de hemel gevallen! Na enkele toppers met Solange en Sky Ferreira treedt Blood Orange nog eens onder de eigen (artiesten)naam in de spotlight met zijn unieke stempel in een tropisch glad 80s-jasje gestoken. Heerlijke backings ook van de Chairlift-zangeres! En eindelijk is er na het leuke Jools Holland optreden de studioversie van Lulu James' Sweetest Thing! FKA twigs komt met een tweede pareltje op rij (ook de clip weer) en MØ is eveneens goed bezig, haar nummers lijken steeds beter te worden! De luilekkerzomer is definitief voorbij!
