De lijst voor jong en oud, ook muzikanten variëren van 18-80

Geweldig dat Leonard Cohen opnieuw met een album komt, z'n vorige was van nog maar twee jaar geleden. Zou hij nog een keer gaan toeren? Ik moet wel zeggen dat ik hem niet helemaal foutloos meer hoor zingen, hoewel Almost like the blues als behoorlijk sterk mag worden omschreven. Enfin, ik kan het iedereen aanraden.

Zo hoor je van een artiest jáááááren niets, en dan opeens een tweede album in twee jaar, geldt ook voor Johnny Marr. Hij heeft de smaak duidelijk te pakken en holt van de ene single naar de andere. Maar nu dan de eerste van nieuw werk. Ook prachtig.

De jonkies van de Satellite Stories zitten inmiddels voor de derde cd in drie jaar in een studio in Londen. Je houdt natuurlijk altijd baas boven baas maar de meeste creativiteit schuilt natuurlijk meestal bij de jeugd . Hoewel Season of B Sides nog een nummer is van hun tweede album.

Dan ook nog twee prachtige nieuwe nummers van Anathema (dank aan Ranboy) en zowaar één van de Counting Crows. Dan is mijn hele avond weer goed, na dit overzicht...
