Fantastisch nieuw nummer van Foxygen! Hun volgende plaat wordt een dubbelalbum, las ik gisteren. Als dat maar goed gaat! Echter, is het grootste deel ervan kwalitatief even sterk als How Can You Really, dan is er geen probleem!

Tja.
Tegen zoveel geweld van nieuwe goede muziek kan ik niet op. Hopelijk loopt de lijst van 35 nummers weer langzaam leeg. Er is voor elke artiest te rechtvaardigen dat hij binnenkomt in mijn lijst. Helaas waren dat er wel 12. Slechts 2 kandidaten stonden op de nominatie om te verdwijnen.

Er zitten niet eens veel verrassende bands bij. De eeuwige Courteeners en de Strypes.

Alleen de Recorders is echt nieuw, ik meen een Belgische band, hebben met Beach een alleraardigst nummer gemaakt. Empyrium is ook geen wekelijkse gast aan tafel. Interpol staat geloof ik nu voor het eerst genoteerd. En ik heb weinig gêne om ook eens You me at Six een kans te geven. Ik geloof wel dat ze erg hun best hebben gedaan, op Room to Breathe.

Het meest valt waarschijnlijk nog op Jamie Cullum. Maar de combinatie met Gregory Porter én de klassieker Don't let me be misunderstood geeft ze om ieder geval een weekje de kans.

Zo het beste nummer van War on drugs is ook uit op single zag ik.
En bij de eigenwijze Jyoti Verhoeff meegepikt
New Pornographers is toch erg aanstekelijk is heb die deze week veel gedraait.
Royal Blood begint ook binnen te komen.
