Dit is muziek waar ik te veel een all-together-now-gevoel van krijg. Technisch is het goed en live zal het best te hachelen zijn, mij grijpt het niet - heb óók weinig met klezmer en vind dit te veel een beetje blote-voeten-kibboets-dansmuziek. Qua cross-over (traditional met jazz) doet me Nigel Kennedy and the Kroke Band - East Meets East (2003) veel meer - sorry

Was het maar klezmer, dan kon ik er nog wat mee. Ik krijg juist een Andre Rieu-gevoel erbij. Elke keer dat hij een nieuwe toon aanslaat kijkt hij lachend de zaal in naar het klapvee dat enthousiast de handen op elkaar slaat.

Kortom, hoewel Arabische muziek mij soms bevalt is dit niet iets voor mij.

Ik noemde Klezmer niet als referentie, maar omdat ik ook dat nix vind - daar loop ik bij weg na 10 min (bij metal na 15 - 20. omdat het effe tijd kost om uit te vogelen op welke gitaren ze spelen).

Dit verhoudt zich tot Arabische muziek als Al Jarreau tot disco - vandaar ook die blote voeten
